really easy to swap over and much better, but not as neck snapping as I thought, the Brembo discs and ferodo pad combo on my old standard set up was very good though and still a bit more of bedding in to do on the new set up and maybe a full bleed too.
That photo doesn’t do justice to the look of the thing though, it looks awesome but not be getting my 15” speedines on any more.looking good - are they the 6 pots?
ive got the 4 pots from HiSpec & love them 🙂

i did think i could help but id read it wrong, thought it was the actual parcel shelf you needed

How would I make that faster?
It works fine on my Passat and other vehicles, but would be nice to look at the Corrado controllers better
i think they are referring to the fact that there are different speeds of USB cable, ideally you want a USB 3 if possible as these can handle a higher data throughput
however, it may be that whatever you are using is not corrado compatible
IIRC you cant read much through the OBD1 port

Today I’ve had a go at removing the heater matrix without taking the dash out.
Using the step by step guide on vagdrivers, and adding a few of our own, we managed to get it out.
(Defiantly a 2 man job, and preferably with someone who’s had a dash out before. Cheers Dave16v for the help today)
I would say it is possible to remove and replace, but it is a nightmare, hense the dash came out after. After looking over the heater matrix the foam covering the flaps has completely perished and 90% has fallen away. Has anyone replaced it, if so, what is the part or where did you source the replacement from?
Also the foam on the duct at the end of the heater box and around the top of the centre ducts has just crumbled away. Is there a suitable replacement? Vw heritage doesn’t show one. There are now more car bits in the garage, than in the car.
Hopefully once the matrix is sorted I can get it all back together and put the car in the garage.only just seen this post - ive got a full guide with pics on how to do this job
so much easier with dash fully out
i email it out on request

ha ha ha that is one hell of an expensive way to do it but also a very good one!!
i could only afford the V1's but they have seen me perfect for about 75K miles so far

wondered if there would be any interest in some 17” speedlines. These would be identical to the OE corrado speedlines just bigger.
B star wheels who do the bigger BBS wheels and Sebrings would do a limited run if there was enough interest.
chris
hi chris
good idea but in all my years of corrado-ness 17's & upwards kill the ride & handling
there are people that run them & i guess it depends if you are going for look or for performance
IMO, & im sure many of the long term members here would agree from their experience, that 16" is the biggest you want to go
i have a feeling that you can actually still buy a 16" speedline brand new
i also think that the group buy here many years ago for Compomotive Mo 5's were in a 16" but may have been 15

not sure - it was £400 for the rolling road setup but this was a long time ago

17 hours ago, fla said:Hmm, I think i need a remap on mine. Ive got a schrick, 264 piper cams, BMC and OBD2. What kind of results could be achievable after a remap? Its been sorn'd for 2 years though so will first need a good run to get back to normal
when i had my head rebuild at stealth i dropped schrick 263's in there, BMC CDA & then vince mapped it - ended just shy of 210bhp
this was with OE exhaust as i hadnt yet put the longlife SS on it
the way the new map performs in comparison to OE is superb

6 hours ago, fendervg said:'sCan you heae the tweeters working?
I remember reading somehwere that there was actually a cross-over of some kind in the factory tweeters, but not sure if that's true - I guess the real reason is that the factory stereos jsut have 4x speaker output, so needs to be wired that way.
good question - i cant say i have ever checked for them
i didnt realise it had a tweeter setup in the front but i do know a previous owner had done some form of rewiring to the door speakers
im thinking of pulling some of the dash out & then completely redoing the the door speaker wiring with some decent cable like i have running to the rear 6*9's

15 hours ago, fla said:just to revive this one, does anyone know the best colour match from gliptone, furniture clinic etc for cream leather? Mine needs some repair as well as redyeing the cracked areas.
Thanks
Hasan
when i got my kit from them i just told them the year & model of vehicle & they had a list to match it up IIRC
i had a guide of steps to follow when using their products but cant remember if they gave it me or i got it elsewhere
just give them a call m8 - they were based down the road from me so i just popped in to see them & they were very helpful
-
having read this thread - would i be best to rewire my JL audio 6.5" front direct to head unit?
AFAIK they are connected to a thicker audio wire which comes out of the door
as such i dont know if this looping to tweeters is still in place - if im honest i didnt even know the wiring did that lol
-
thank you to everyone so far for the payments so quickly 🙂
-
thanks everyone 🙂
thanks to JJBRADO for their payment too

i wonder how much of a bigger disc i could fit under the 16" modena's in comparison to the 15" speedlines - may have to call HiSpec for a chat
