  1. might be best putting the question in the thread 'will these wheels work' as there are a couple who respond to that with good info
  2. i have! well, in a fashion lol i drilled a hole through the sunroof switch/interior light cover & keep a small screwdriver & a driver with the allen key head on it in the drivers door pocket. that way i can flick the allen key hole cover across, use allen key & then put the cover back. oddly mine will always then close on the door key easy way to open it when the button decides to just click - or close it too lol i really must try the spare motor i have to see if that is the issue
  3. nice! that is one item i would very much like to add to the VR
  4. indeed Jim they were quick to respond to my pics & others too i would imagine VW have a rather healthy budget for 'social media response teams' ;) lol
  5. oh this just gets better! i thought i would ask VW about the Kamei kit on the valver, as i believe they might have been a factory option, & they have replied & will see if they can find out for me winner winner chicken dinner!!!
  6. ha ha ha that is brilliant dave!!! talk about 'foot in mouth' moment eh Jim ;) PMSL though i am sure no offence has or will be taken lol
  7. thanks dave pity i couldnt capture the burble it does when changing down from 3rd to 2nd lol
  8. well no facking way!!! 3 likes, 1 for each post & a comment from VW on the engine bay.... i quote "Volkswagen Ooo very spick and span Andy. You must be taking very good care of your Corrado! Keep up the good work." thanks for this thread chuggs - i feel rather chuffed now lol
  9. i am pleased with the way the sound is on the video i posted there - mmmmmm yummy!!
  10. i have just done a couple myself 1 pic of the 3 together, 1 video of the VR singing its new SS exhaust & 1 of the VR engine bay :)
  11. lol i was going to write that very ferrari quote too i think it was clarkson who also put the corrado as one of his 10 cars to drive before you die my friend had a MK3 golf for while & i recall him saying, when they were parked next to each other & both facing front, that the golf looked forlorn & whilst the rado looked angry lol personally, even now almost 20 years after first owning the valver i find that i always look back at them a couple of times when walking away not many cars can do that
  12. maybe those at VW didnt like it but those in the industry who reveiwed them at time of release absolutely loved them!! we all know some of the great comments made by respectful car industry people my favourite being the 'worthy of a Porsche badge' :D lol
  13. nice - glad to hear you are back in the hot seat :)
  14. no problem, hope you get it sorted. the panel/cover is a hard one to describe. with mine the 'wall' section on the side closest to the passenger wing had tucked up & under itself. this in turn caused a crease in which the water flowed & then dropped directly into the hole on the foliage seal below. if fitted correctly the panel/cover should almost be like a box over the top of the foliage filter, if that makes sense. IE when you stand & look at the passenger side of the panel/cover you should not be able to see the majority of the foliage filter underneath personally, even though a new foliage filer seal had been fitted by stealth, i put a little clear silicone sealant around the base of the foliage filter as an extra precaution
  15. here you go m8 https://www.vwheritage.com/shop/191819166/gasket-heater-blower-intake-golf-mk2-corrado/ Heritage saying they will be back in stock in 3 weeks - prolly best to contact them, either on here through AnnaVR6 (as she works for them) or directly there is also a guide on the wiki which you may find helpful http://wiki.the-corrado.net/changing_heater_scuttle_foliage_cover_seal.html personally, my issue was with the thin plastic cover which goes over the foliage filer being incorrectly refitted.
  16. woo hoo - chrome behaving again today logged on for a few hours now & havent been logged out once!!
  17. tough one that mike as unless it is documented in the cars history, or unless there is a thread on here or somewhere about it, then confirming upgrades is going to have to be visual. obviously only the pulley, in this instance, could be visually checked as you would need to remove the rocker cover to check the cams & even then hope they were stamped with manf info. i wonder if the superchip would be branded & visible if you could remove the ECU housing to see it
  18. i am similar mic - though i have & love my blackberry there is something about the white valver that i cant quite pin point the blackberry has a delightful ability to change colour tone depending on the light at the time; fully polished & in direct sun it truly sparkles loveliness, however at dusk it gives a darker angrier tone. but it doesnt carry off the slightly dirty look as does the white valver - which for some reason looks mean with a spatter of dirt on the solid white background lol maybe it is the additional lines that the Kamei skirt kit provides - i know i have always loved the Kamei front splitter & should really try & get the replacement i have fitted up as it subtly changes the front end look fantastically trouble is i have a desire to try to fit the full spare Kamei kit to the blackberry when it has a respray
  19. thought i would put an update here as since my last post i have changed absolutely nothing at all but now my sessions are not being logged out every few minutes it makes a nice change to be able to type a post & then not have to bloody logging back in odd though lol
  20. unfortunately i believe all insurers apply 'admin' costs to any policy changes mid-term as do lots of other companies & as we all know an 'admin' charge is usually just a way of them making a bit extra
  21. no offence intended here m8 but who told you that? it may depend on insurer or underwriter i have been with flux for over 20 years. my VR is on a classic policy with them & i gain NCB each year. i also insure the valver on a classic policy with HIC - this was a 2nd car policy, limited miles, & i have accrued NCB for each of the years. as such i now have a 2nd policy with 2 years NCB
  22. do it!! but as chuggs said - get a good one lol
  23. i love them that much i brought a VR after pining for one for years having sold the valver & then brought the valver back as well a few years later lol
  24. get yourself one of those cheap hand held laser temperature devices - they work a treat Vince at stealth did a test on my VR when it was there where he laser registered the temp of an oil temp sensor so as to compare again the MFA reading. it consistently showed 6 degrees BELOW the temperature reported by the MFA on the dash. FYI this was with a brand new oil temp sensor fitted
