  1. Oh god here we go again!!!! By a cheap daily, I dont know something like my golf :D
  2. I'f im not working then I will defo be along to the AV8 not to sure about edition yet. Wont be in the Corrado tho as its SORN. Will either be in the camo wagon or the new daily depending if its no the road
  3. my friend his selling his TT and even tho its a hairdressers car I do like this one. Goes like **** off a shovel and some very subtle mods make it look really good. Plus I think its a Bargain at this price http://www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-motorbikes/audi-tt-225-quattro/1002598068
  4. That was a close call, glad all is well. Family and car wise
  5. Thanks mate, No unfortunately not and yes it does need some serious front end attention. Its shocking. Although the photos hide it well
  6. Thanks :) Nice, would love to be able to drive it still but need to save a bit of money after all the money I have spent this year
  7. Today is the first day of the Corrado's SORN. SO I gave her a quick clean and tucked her up in the garage for hibernation.
  8. Even tho its a 1.8 its still costing me a fortune to run every day, even tho I drive like a granny in it. I had a Vento TDI lined up which will not only be better on fuel but is a hell of a lot cheaper than the golf to insure, which in turn means I have more money for the Rado
  9. Yes mate, wouldnt hurt to have a set of brake hoses laying about. I will be in your neck of the woods soon (picking up my new daily from stroud) so could pick them up maybe.
  10. I would be up for it depending on when it is will depends if I bring the Corrado or my new daily
  11. Im confused so would these work on mine Andy?
  12. I know I dont post anything like I used to, but doesnt mean Im any less interested in the forum. I visit it every day without fail. I know the reason I havent been posting much recently is I just need some time away from my corrado after a very busy and expensive year with it. Now that the SORN will take effect from the 1st of November I probably wont have much input on the forum in that respects. Need to focuse my time on something else and those who have seen the link to my current daily for sale thread can see what I've been busy with (shameless plug). Most probably be the same with its replacement. But as its a TDI will mean I will have some extra pocket money to spend on the rado when its back on the road. I for one think this is one of the friendliest and best foums I have ever been on. The only other forum that comes close is the Rat-look forum, thats because we are all bonkers on there :D I have made some good friends through this forum and I'm looking forward to making many more. As a side note if I have spoken to you at meets/shows and seamed odd like I didnt know you thats because Im shocking with names and wasnt intentionally being rude :D This year has been very quiet for get together. I can remember when I first joined the forum we must of had at least 8 meets in the Gloucestershire area alone, where as this year we have only had 1. Thats probably down to a few reasons but we all have lives away from the forum and other priorities. Although I think we all need to pull our fingers out and give some input into getting meets sorted and not relying on other people to do it! As for the whole Forum vs CCGB stuff. They both compliment each other. The forum is a great community an a wealth of knowledge. Where as the CCGB is a orginisation which can make the most of its powers. For example organising stands at well known shows, Club discount and sorting stuff out like the National day this year at brooklands. What is £10 at the end of the day. I get 10% discount from my local VW dealer and even if I buy 10 things at £10 I have pretty much earned my £10 fee back. Just my 2p Did some one mention Ham????
  13. Cant seam to post the add so posting the link to the Rat-look forum :afro: http://rat-look.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=10408 £700 for Corrado forum members ;)
  14. Ahhh that makes sens now! Dont get me wrong as a stand alone film its great but I'm just very disappointed in the fact they promoted it as a proper prequel but really its isnt. Just hope they do a star wars type thing and release a few ore films which will make sense even more and tie in properly!
  15. Watched Prometheus last night. As a stand alone film I rate it 8/10 but as a prequel to Alien 2/10, I am a massive Alien fan and had high hopes for this film Thought it was a good film if it was a stand alone film, kept me on edge through out and just good all rounds. But if I look at it as an Alien prequel like it was promoted as then I am very disappointed. Left so many questions unanswered, didnt tie into parts on the Alien film where they first discover the "engineers" in the ships control panel with his chest split open. I just hope there is a sequel to it that explains things better although from what I read from a friend (see below) I think not :( After a friend posted this on my FB page after I said the above about the film I feel cheated!!! Sounds to be as if Prometheus was never intended to be a prequel to Alien and that it was just jumping on the Alien band wagon to get the sales and interest. :mad2:
  16. Thanks for that. BTW the engine isnt the standard VR6 it is a 2.8 24v but Im guessing its the same? Is it necessary to remove the fuel relay? As I thought running the engine up to temp would be more beneficial than turning it over with no fuel?
  17. Not sure where to post this so thought here might be best. Mods move it if you feel its belongs some where else. Right I have just SORN the corrado for the winter and was wondering if there is anything I should do whilst its tucked away in the garage over winter. Im guessing leaving the hand brake off might be a good idea and maybe starting it up every now and again and letting it run up to temp? Anything else?
  18. I will be in Northampton next week, could be up for a meet for something to do. If this still goes on.
  19. There is a innuendo in there some where:camp:
  20. American pie : The reunion. 9/10 Absolutely loved and didnt stop laughing all the way through. Cant believe the original is over 10 years old now, brings back so many memories of my teen years growing up. Only reason its not a 10/10 is a few bits were predictable but good none the less Battle of Britain. 10/10 was on channel 5 last night a even tho I have seen it before its still keeps me glued all the way though. Just wish I had surround sound to make the most of the beautiful noise the spitfire makes
  21. Catching up with Andy on the amount of Corrados you have had!!!!!
  22. I do love thos car, had one pass me on my way to clean Wendy's car. Looks so mean on the move
