Hi buddy, I think you would be ok working with the 16" set of wheels but they are quite low in ET, could cause rubbing issues. The 17"s will be horrendous to try to get them to work. Its 10" wide bit that would be a nightmare. You would need some serious arch extension work like what RATTA is producing to fit 11"s. He is constructing boxwork for them. I don't know of anyone who is running 10's under standard or pulled arches. Hope you get something sorted out.

Haha I know what you mean, it does take up your time watching! Just remind her about how clear Eastenders will look!!!

Hi guys, Thought I would let you know about getting some cash back on the necessary upgrade to have the F1 channel. You can either buy the Sports package or HD to get this F1. I bought the HD upgrade, I had this before but cancelled it over cost a while ago. If you register on www.topcashback.co.uk and follow the steps to go onto the Sky website. From there if you upgrade to HD, it costs an extra £10.25 per month but you get £25.25 cashback on your account and a £50 M&S voucher. I don't know what you could get for buying the Sports package. Anyway, the coverage so far is great. Can't wait for the actual Qualifying tomorrow morning. Early start at 6am!!

Thanks for letting everyone know about your adventures getting home Redborbet, must of been a bit hairy at times. Just goes to show the importance of keeping spares for these cars to keep them going. I'll update my signature with the number of switches available and the date it was changed to show how many are available. 4 down since monday. -
Sorry I didn't get chance to reply last night Gaz, super busy evening. Glad you've got sorted now.

Bit of an oops moment for the forum today, for the sake of £15 you could say its not worth the hassle caused. If you sell something too cheap then you have to take it on the chin.

Hi guys, I can see things have dropped down to a trickle with these switches now as most who would want one have already got one. I have approx 40 left and need to sell them on to clear my costs. I won't be making another order for these as there would be too much money tied up in them waiting forever and a day to recover it. Once these go, thats going to be it. Reduced price of £20 posted as a small extra incentive. Thanks everyone for your support with this. -
Looks like the sort of unit you would rip out before going off to Halfords for a new one :thumbleft: Haha maybe not!

Hi Jonny, Wouldn't these seats be so heavy? I had Audi S3 Recaro's in mine and they nearly broke my back lifting them in and out the car. Go for some nice lightweight carbon race seats to go with the high power engine you're lining up buddy :thumbleft:.

If anyone else reads this thread in need of a switch or looking to hold a spare one for the future, then you can pm me as I have a stock of them. I'm not sure if I will be able to order another batch as I need to check for availability. They are still around now but I don't know for how long in the future. Cheers guys.

Hi, could you tell me the postage cost please? Would it be fine with a VR engine? Is it a complete setup? Nothing needed with it. Many thanks, Matt.

Soon to have an empty engine bay, what jobs should be done at that time?
8vMatt replied to 8vMatt's topic in Engine Bay
The battery tray is still good, still got shiny paint on it. That bloody abs system, would get ripped out if I could get a chance! No polybushes for me, I would go for OE stuff. I've fitted new OE engine mounts, so all good there. Yes, a big de-grease is in order. Rob and I have done some but we would get loads more out without the engine in the way. Never thought about doing anything with the drive shafts, prob won't bother. CV's etc good call. Cross member and rad panel will be changed for powdercoated items. Waxoyl would be good, I'll remember that one. Oh Rob, I can't get into having the bay painted, would be a nightmare sorting. Fine as it is, no issues to take care of there. I know what you mean about the van, I'm like a kid waiting for christmas for it to come!!! -
Hi guys, I'll be changing VR engines soon after I pick up a newer low mileage VR engine. I just wondered if there was anything that could be done job wise in an empty bay. I've got some old auto box cables to remove but wondered if there was anything to do with an empty bay? Any advice is very welcome.

Silicon Hose kits for VR6 from Roose Motorsport
8vMatt replied to Stonejag's topic in Forum Group-Buys
Keep talking about these as I'm getting more interested all the time. I'll be looking at a new engine going in soon, would be a good move to fit these at the same time. Have we got any actual prices to pay yet? Good work organising this. -
Some great advice and great people on here. I've only been to one national day meet last year but this car lets you meet some of the friendly-est car people around. This forum can help people in times of trouble as there are the best people using it. Tough it out mate and the pain eases with time. Oh and buy a bare shell to rebuild, that'll sort your time out!!!

Your new switch went out first class post today, I couldn't get to the PO before due to working out in the country. I didn't know you were on the forum, you should've pm'd me for a switch as they are a better price for the forum. Ebay and Paypal fees hit it hard selling on Ebay, I'll refund you a bit as a gesture to look after the forum users. Hope I get good feedback on Ebay!!! Cheers buddy.

I don't think you would have trouble shifting 100 chrome Corrado badges if they looked exactly like an original. You would prob need to sell them internationally to cover your numbers. It needs investigating because there is no-one offering this badge. Good to have you back vee dubbing.

Hmmm, thinking about buying the 55 needed for the price as I reckon it could take ages to get 55 names signed up. Thanks for the comments on my wheels, don't worry they're not so shiny after the winter weather! Do you do more designs? Other cars etc? I'll pm you and we can chat buddy.
-
That's a great price if we can get 85 people in the group buy!!! Seriously, they do look smart.
-
I do indeed. I'll dig it out and check it out for you. I'll also pm you my details. Only pay once I know its all good and let you know. Cheers buddy.
