  1. Looking very nice with the R32 in. Erm.... think we missed having a few updates along the way  Good work 8)
  2. Looks luurvely!!! Had stretched tyres on mine, had no probs, liking the dice plugging there  The only thing missing there.....a nice shiny polished exhaust tip :norty: A very sorted looking Rado
  3. Sounds like you've got some good ideas in mind mate 8) Lets have a clue then!
  4. Liking this a lot, can't wait to see the new pics.
  5. Kip, what a great job you are doing. This is an awesome car. Can't wait to see it in the metal.
  6. Haha Mart :norty: I'm looking forward to seeing your Plum Rado so much Rob, can't wait to see how good it will look
  7. Right then, as it does seem to make a difference, best stick to the good stuff then. Shouldn't matter about the cost, considering the small mileage I do :norty:
  8.   Woo Hoo!!! I got offered £695 Oh dear :camp:
  9. Agree, the Corrado is great for gadgets. Will be looking at fitting the VW sat nav unit in the future, so there's another feature bang up to date. Couple this with performance, handling, character, styling, lack of depreciation etc why would I look at a new car. My neighbour has bought an 09 reg Alfa 159, looks v nice but its been back to the dealers at least 3 times and is sick of the thing already. Told me he hates it. Its collected a parking dent as well so imagine how much money it will loose when it comes to selling time? I would rather spend 1 or 2 thousand a year on it than have a new car loosing £3-4k a year doing nothing to it. Long live the Corrado, lets keep it our secret! Haha!
  10. You know thats true Chris, hell I was able to catch him up and overtake the auto cruiser. Just wait till my Schimmels are in as well. Chris, Rob and I will all have to drive along leaving the handbrake on so we don't get split up and loose Nath behind us :norty:
  11. Cheers for that Fla. Would you recommend that kit then? Anyone have an opinion on either of these gasket's please?
  12. Just had a price from TPS for the head gasket, £49+vat. Any good?
  13. And an extra 12 valves :norty:
  14. Hey Chris I've got some MDF spare, we could make you the bases and backs so Nath can fit the foam on them........Recaro's here you come :norty: :norty:
  15. Hi guys It looks like I'm going to be in the market for a new head gasket v soon. Not due to any damage but for a new head to be fitted. Had a search but no luck so far. Wondering if the VW head gasket was the best to buy or is there an alternative thats better? What some of price should I pay? Plus as I'm looking at a new head, what else would people say should be looked at when changing over? Inlet, exhaust manifold gasket's will be new. ARP head bolts will go on. Missed anything? Thanks in advance for your help, Matt.
  16. Hey Rob  Tired out after all our hard work helping :norty:  Really looking forward to seeing this one back on the road mate, all fresh and running very smoothly now
  17. Cheers for all the positive feedback guys. Struck it lucky on the clearance? Pah, had it all worked out :norty: Phew! Very happy with the results of claying, saw a few mates today and they all said how good the car looked :salute:
  18. I was all happy about my measurements and positions of everything until your post made me question myself and start to get a little worried :pale: . As I hadn't been in a position to physically put the wheel over the disc and caliper, I thought it was best to double check it all! Lucky the TT Comps have a big area behind the face to house the caliper, be interesting to see what other wheel choices I will have (prob not many!) Well good news, the wheel spins freely  It is quite close though but not down to a few mm though. Lets hope its not totally different on the car and causing loads of headaches :gag:
  19. Is the idea of asking the forum for people to carryout specific mods for you feasible? Would be a hell of a lot cheaper than a company.
  20. Haha, yeah there getting there. Just need to get my ass into gear and finish off the mock bracket :norty: I'm a real novice on this detailing business, so others would prob take all day to clay the car :cuckoo: I took about an hour to zip around the car, including drying it all after the clay process. I bought a Meguiers quick detailing kit, it had a clay bar and a spray bottle. It was only cheap but has made a great difference to the 'smoothness' of running my hand over the paint. Go for it on the mk2 mate, I'm sure you'll be pleased with the results
  21. Got to say some prices for bits for Corrados are going even crazier all the time. Ok this is a part that gets broken a lot and is needed by lots of people but come on, the price on this ebay listing takes the biscuit :cuckoo: :gag: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... K:MEWAX:IT
  22. What a beauty Kip :notworthy: Ahh see what you mean about the wheels looking big but look very good. Might seem like a strange suggestion but try a foam upholstery cleaner on the headlining, did mine and the difference was remarkable. Alcantara is a great change though  Awesome work there mate.

    288 v 312

Didn't think of that part of things, cheers for the info. I'm learning every day :D
  24. Mmm that could work. I use my T4 van for work/family duties. I use the VR for big smiles

    288 v 312

I've not got either of these discs......but have been doing some reading up on it. The 288's and 312's both use the same caliper, so stopping won't be noticably different. The benefit of 312's will be a greater surface area to dissipate heater quicker. Ditch both and get dirty great big Brembo 4 pots
