  1. Haha, so what are you planning next for yours then Chris? Our cars could be twins! Yeah I'm really looking forward to getting the new head on and seeing the difference that makes. How are you getting on with progress on yours then mate?
  2. Haha Rob, I've got no worries cus you drive like you're driving Miss Daisy!
  3. This month has been about getting hold of new parts to either carryout maintenance or uprate things. Firstly a new head, well not brand new but fitted with parts that have done around 5k miles. Here's a breakdown of what has been done to the head- Head including - New SP 263 cams New Light weight lifters New Autotech HD Springs New Genuine spec Valve Guides New-ish Genuine retainers and valve keepers New GSF stem seals Work carried out: Head given a cleaning skim 3 angle inlet valves and single angle exhaust valve (all re-machined in this way, a lot better than standard air flow wise) valves re-seated. Thanks for the purchase Chris, very nice man  Also picked up a set of ARP head bolts for the head fitment and new timing chains and tensioners (128k and not sure if they have been done  ). Hoping to get this little lot fitted with LOTS of help from a friendly mechanical genius  around Easter time if poss.
  4. Very tidy progress their making mate  Thats a cracking good repair on the window pillar, amazing how big the hole can get in behind the rubber, it only bubbled up a little on the outside. Won't be long now, soon get the beasty home :notworthy:
  5. £2,457  Only be prepared to offer top money if you feel everything is right. Fingers crossed its a good one for ya.
  6. Nah mate, I was busy making the list of jobs/mods for you to help out with on mine. Haha.
  7. You're going to scare everyone reading this into thinking that all you two did today was a load of sausage jockeying! Nice work on the throttle body, think I'll be asking you to have a practice on mine 'nudge nudge' Just how trashed did the garage get with parts and tools everywhere?
  8. CHRIS YOUR FIRED!! ITS ITCHY BUT PAINFULL

Don't worry, not necessary at all. They do serve the public. I got served the first time I went in and told them about being a club member of TheVR6OwnersClub. That meant I got a good discount straight away. Go for it mate.
  10. Awesome mate :D She is a chip off the old block alright. Watch that she doesn't polish with wire wool  The car is looking great after your clean (as always :notworthy: ) Can't wait to see it soon.
  11. Keep us fully updated on the armrest mate :norty: 17.5x8.5 niiiiice!
  12. Just read this entire thread and have to say I like this a lot, you're doing your own ideas and thats much better than just following the crowd  Love the armrest, you should put up more pics and details of how it worked out :salute: New wheels :luvlove: They look awesome. Keep up the good work mate.
  13. You've got some serious competition now Nath, this is going to be a beaut when its finished  Torbay isn't doing badly at all for nice Corrado's :luvlove:
  14. Nice spot there..........Must be a VR as its heading straight to the pump
  15. Haha Nath! You're always talking about your rim trouble, mate its got to stop! No wonder you use so much Autosol, not sure where though?
  16. Not a good idea mate. Its all to do with the beam pattern on the lenses. That will throw the HID light in all directions and into the oncoming traffic.
  17. All done now, it is hard to get a good team on budget. Thats why I've got a crap team :norty:
  18. Its a bit of a lottery on prices really. A friend sold his black In-pro's for £205 on ebay! I bought mine for £70 including HID's. There's a few threads on changing lhd lights over to rhd. So you could sort them out to be more desirable to the UK buyers. Best of luck mate.
  19. What a relief for ya. All very odd about the alarm etc. A pain having to get a load of parts but at least its back home now mate. Pleased for you. Too many thieving scumbags around.

Are they genuine VW parts? How does it work with, TPS, can anyone order from them or just businesses? Yes, they are genuine VW and TPS (Trade Parts Specialists - trade parts arm of VAG) centres are located nationally and you need an account number. There are centres in Bournemouth, Portsmouth and Southampton[/quote:23cfkwxo] Just to clarify on the needing an account number? I've been using my local TPS in Exeter and never needed to have an account with them, I get a very good discount also. Don't know if things might vary from branch to branch though?
  21. Well if you do get a Porsche instead be prepaid to wave as the Corrado T's fly by  Haha, no Porsche for me! Mine's a keeper. Work is beginning to make my engine better prepared for any possible future Stealth work!
  22. This Racelogic sounds like an awesome bit of kit. Does anyone have any experience of using it? Haha, that's one to come back at people that say buy a newer car than some old VW. 'Have you got Traction Control with Launch Control?' brilliant!
  23. Vince It just gets better and better. A turbo'd VR but now with traction control as well! Yep, you best start a new thread up all about that, think you'll have a line up of customers for that one. These cars are going to be incredible even comparing them to modern motors. Mind you, we'll all be spending Porsche money by the time we finish! Haha. Brilliant work as ever, keep on inspiring us.
  24. Thats interesting to know, I'm in the market to buy one of these. Nice one :salute:
  25. Wow, there's been six Corrado's put up for sale today on the forum as of now. That seems to be a lot, compared to normal. What's going on? Some nice variety and good prices, some will get a bargain and others achieve top dollar.
