  1. Do you know if they were quoting purely Corrado or did they mean all Storms? As in Scirocco Storm.
  2.  :cuckoo: What you been doing to the poor C man? Whatever it is, I don't think it was designed for it :gag:
  3. Electric Recaros  :D are very helpful.
  4. I'm also 6'2", when the S3 Recaro's get wound down I'm no where near the rooflining. Prob got 3" or 4" clearance.
  5. No worries, i'll sort some tonight. Or have a look through my build thread (quick search through my posts should show it up).
  6. There's a guy on our local VW forum who's bought a white E reg mk2 8v gti with 34k on it! This looks like showroom condition without a doubt, even shiny white paint inside the arches! I think he bought it early 09 for roughly £3500. What an investment. I've seen similar mileage ones go for £5-6k recently.
  7. Have you considered other leather seats? For example I have Audi S3 heated electric leather seats and they are so comfy, especially as you get a lumber control as well. They have a wide range of adjustment and will basically lower right down to the floor if you're tall or want a low driving position! Well recommended. I've not heard of another Corrado with them fitted.
  8. Just wondering if these are the ones going from the back of inlet manifold to the Carbon canister? If so, one of mine has melted on the exhaust shield about three quarters through :gag: Guess this won't be too good for idling?
  9. Thats cool news Rob, excited for ya mate. Leather will be awesome. Your car will be totally different when it comes back.
  10. This sounds like a very good idea. I reckon the recent snow pics would be good to choose from for December, as pics nearer the time could mean a delay in getting it ready in time.
  11. Hi Chris, how's you mate? The brakes project is moving along nicely. Paid for and having the new discs sent at the weekend. The helpful chap designing the brackets has done me a computer drawing of them, I've made an oak bracket up to test. Maybe just a couple of light tweaks and they should be ready for production. Think I need to grind a sticky out bit off the hub next to one of the holes. Hopefully all be sorted in the near future. How's your own brake project doing?
  12. Cheers fella's, I'm sure the wheels will need a little tlc after all this crap weather. Just hoping they stand up to it, looking good so far.
  13. I've heard a bit about this as its local to me. Apperently one went off to hospital but not for anything too serious. No-one got run over, should've done for stupidity!!! And the car carried on down the road backwards until it hit a brick wall :epicfail:
  14. Looks so good Mort, as much as OEM as one can get. Would love one of these in the future. Got any more details on your setup? Cheers mate.
  15. Yep still available as I've bought one recently, why have one at least 15 years old when shiny and new is best (well not shiny, primer!).
  16. I can agree with this totally, just done mine and its so so much better.
  17. Agree with this, as people are saying they are coming down to 1-1.5k but these are mainly the poorer condition examples. Anything that is good does sell for reasonable and higher money.
  18. Not as much snow as some places but its still a Corrado in snow, liking how the snow can't stick onto my shiny wheels
  19. Haha, the pics were taken before we spoke! At least you have both halves of the car there :norty:
  20. Thanks for the tip :salute: Glad its all better now.
  21. Ahh see what you mean, it does look like that from the pic to be fair, no worries. The BMC is great though hey!
  22. You are right Jim, it did feel rewarding to get an improvement in the car from just maintenance. Thats good news on the fuel economy, I was always amazed when people were saying they were getting mid to high 30's mpg. Just a few random shots of the car-
  23. Yep I can do for ya. To start with, there is a flat metal strip that came in the BMC box. Just cut about a 3" piece and bend into an L shape. 1" by 2". Drill out one of the holes in the strip at the long end. You need this hole to clear one of the engine bolts on that side of the engine. Undo the bolt and feed the strip onto it and tighten. Now you can bolt the filter strap to the metal strip. Ta Daa! Ah thats how i did it! it looks like you've done it slightly different in the pic. Obviously not.[/quote:11lgj33w] Oh right, how's it look different to yours? Got a pic?
