  1. Erk. Too cold for my tastes. My brother decided moved to a village outside Aberdeen a few years ago - I think I prefer the extra few degrees in London or at least somewhere nice on the west coast like Dumfries or Portpatrick ;)
  2. ... and don't forget that, taking the adiabatic lapse rate (0.6 degC/100 m) into consideration, the roof of your car will be approximately 0.009 degC cooler than that indicated by the temp sensor ;) [do you work for the Met office, Craig?]
  3. Er, yes, but not the kind you're asking about ;)
  4. Get one of these instead http://www.alpine-europe.com/driveyouripod/  :?
  5. ET is the offset distance in mm between the mounting surface of the wheel and the true centre line of the wheel. Handy diagram to illustrate and a slightly more involved explanation here http://www.fourstarmotorsports.com/Cata ... els_62.htm
  6. 'N' reg 16v (black or dark brown? it was under street lighting and difficult to tell) Thursday Night about 7.15pm. Stopped next to me at the traffic lights by the Plough pub in Beddington, Surrey and pointed out my gf's scarf was peeking out the bottom of the door. Gave me a thumbs up :)
  7. Oops. Read that single/double thing completely the wrong way round
  8. AFAIK the switchgear was changed...........along with the interior facelift circa late 92 FWIW, my 1990 Scirocco Scala has a 2 position fog light switch. Odd how the Rocco got them before the Corrado. :?
  9. I'm with vr6storm. That's a Mk 1 with a Reiger GTS kit front and rear, with parts from a GTO kit in the centre. Dirk's site has the brochure pics http://www.scirocco2.de/mk1_s212.jpg http://www.scirocco2.de/mk1_s213.jpg apparently that one was taken in June 2000 by a fellow from Peterborough. http://www.x31.com/~andy/pics/golden-river-belgium/
  10. I believe it stands for Sports Luxury Coupe
  11. Precisely what Customs fees and VAT would be due on a car that was purchased in the UK, registered, then shipped to Italy (also a member of the EU)? None. I think. Scam QED.
  12. I reckon you need to get a vinyl deck for the car - I heard Marilyn Monroe had one installed in her Buick :-P
  13. Mazda Europe's [Mazda Motor Europe GmbH] headquarters are in Leverkusen, Germany. Probably also their biggest European market. Apparently they're the top-selling Japanese marque in Germany.
  14. Probably because it reads the same when you flip the picture over to create a LHD or RHD version of the car for each market the ad is used in. Edit: OK, not exactly the same, but you know what I mean. :)

    oh my

Well, the Marquis of Bath has had 20 or 30 'wifelets' over the years, so maybe we're talking about the same person...

    oh my

Are you mates with the Marquis of Bath? :-P
  17. What would that do for the legality of the Citroen DS then? [granted it probably doesn't apply because of its age ;)]
  18. I was thinking of http://www.lambodoors.co.uk/ hmm.
  19. I thought their conversions were closer to £1200?
  20. SP2 ? Looking for one of those ;) All you need is a Mk 1 Rocco to complete the set - type 53a, 53b and 53c ;) An SP2 would be dead cool though.
  21. Hmmm... a tad far for me right at the moment with moving house 'n' all that. The No-Rice Rocco Mafia are planning a photoshoot later in the year - somewhere accessible to the M1 (talk is somewhere round Bedfordshire possibly). Sure you'd be welcome along. Still might have to make a trip up to the fens some time though...
