  1. I was going to Join......... I really was.............. But thought Heck I'll give the £15 to Andi instead as he and the website has done more for me than the CCGB Oh theres another story but that will keep for another day :D
  2. we can save 1/4 of a tonne/ton on a set of 6 alloys compared to steels and they tend not to crack either in our case they went one better and just lightened the tank and went back to steel wheels, yes god knows how AtS manage to move the tyres without dropping a bollack. Allcoa alloys are well cool 8)
  3. you can get air seperators for beer gas its about the size of a tv monitor
  4. Ive never heard of the Nitrogen for Tyres on HGV's we operate a flammable tanker fleet and the only time our alloys go down is when theres a build up of crap on the inside edge of the alloy inside the tyre,if its leaking on the rim,its nothing a grinder wont cure, prefeably when Im not there  Theres a van up here that goes round offering to fill your tyres so theres no more punctures, its probably liek the old tyre weld EEK ! My worst day was a 195/50/15 michelin with 30 miles wear on it ****ed until I got a factory repair :D :dorky: some of your mates are bound to know a tyre fitter or a man that can, The pros use washing up liquid to break the tyre/rim seal apart from that I cant help
  5. Guess what OSV does for a livin' He works for the tyre tappers ?
  6. That colour isprobably one of the best colours to have, as for the grin factor...erm Yep !! I reckon the wife almost thinks its going to talk back to her...
  7. I wouldnt drive it on the road the traffic cops would have a field day with those tyres and rims sticking out past the arch Very very nice though ! I search the autotrader every so often for a derby.. one day I'll find one

  12. I still Love your car,the smokey lights Rock too !
  13. Is it a colour concept ? That colour used to be a classic 80's colour lipstick
  14. Sorry to sound like an old fart  but, I only thought they were uber cool to have on when hardly any cars had them fitted as standard. even our local police used to have them on at night with sidelights, but they were Granadas ( age showing ) I got a tug with 87D plate 4*4 sierra that had them too and standard, the car was 6 month old if that. they requested I turn them off and I did after politely telling them they had a tail light out and their fogs on. They told me they were driving lights ;-) Sometimes you have to agree as theres always a time and a place. My mate had a XR3 with cibie oscars and they were erm 'Large',so large they had two brackets to hold them in place. Uber cool ? even if off :) you wanna see night driving lights ? come to the north and check the logger lorries up here its like Blackpool@2am the beams are awesome unless your facing them, but they always drop the beams its courtious ! Did Hella ever do a grille with spots in it like a delorean (corrado and delorean in same sentance now you know Im reaching)... Ladies and gents, whatever your doing this weekend in your car, have fun ! its funny how these cars have such affection put into them,I suppose you reap what you sow Not quite the weekend..... Tongy aint said it yet,but I can taste it :-P chubbz
  15. I drive me truck all day with the sidelights on, I dont do it so much now with the car but when it gets a bit darker I Will. One of the first things they ask you on an insurance claim form is: Did you have your lights on the second question is :why. Side lights are handy going thru the twisties as the sunlight strobes thru the trees, therefore helping you be seen. as for fogs,no harm if its 2am and nowt on the road, but in Scotland its an offense, just like rear fogs. 100m visability ?cant afford a cracked foggy anyway and I only have one spare :|
  16. Ford engines used to be Bench run in for an hour,Im not so sure today.
  17. I run two cars and a bike. The main car is on a pay as you drive policy, its as a trial for them so I get another 20% off,so its insured for £200 they are all with norwich union and they offered a introductory 60% when we got our Golf Gti The Main car and bike policies have max on them anyway ! Bike Tax is £15 for me as its only a 125  I havent gone for a trade policy as it would only pay out trade values, I.E not much at all ! chubbzsy
  18. I drove 40 miles last night and returned a very healthy 35.4, the car uses supermarket unleaded, with 3 in car, nothing in front of me,2am in the morning, making use of gavins headlight upgrade :D I did cringe when it dropped to 28.4 for a minute or so though ! that was sitting about 75-80 with very minimal gear changes, one long hill and a very light foot !
  19. Speaking of passats, I saw two in Spain with Sebring alloys, what model would they be ?
  20. that car is gonna be rfiggin awesome the thig is with nugget yellow you wither love it or hate it your gonna have to make a video of it thrashing summit pretty quick
  21. try and see if they can do a tinted screen at the top,(if your into those)
  22. The woman can get upwards of 28 around town and thats out running the novas ! out on the Trunk roads it will give between 32-36,she dont let me use the mfa when shes driving  oh and thats not driving miss daisy either ! I seriously thought about a low miler G60 until I read Jims tearful mid teens mpg hope this helps chubbzy
  23. The most hated thing about this is that you have to say you have had a no fault accident that really does my head in  Ive seen panel beaters weld plates onto the rear back panel attach a chain and attach other end to skip or similar and try and pull the twisties out to some xtent before going mad with a hammer ! check for kink in roof too, usually by the 'A' posts and check the door gaps too. in the real world shes due a shell, obviously unobtainable new :( :( As for fiesta flights they were 1.3 as far as I can remember but did not come with the xr2i foglight setup at front, but did have the xr2i alloy wheels, worth checking if the insurance get stroppy or the 3rd party does. I would be surprised if its declared. finally sorry to see another damaged even if not beyond repair.    chubbles
