  1. Cazza, I'm also after a swap for a 50mm. Mine's great condition too and I'm fairly local if you ever fancied it?
  2. Sorted now thanks. Please close.
  3. Hi Mine's making a terrible howl going round corners so could do with another one. As long as it blows and doesn't squeak it'll be fine Anything out there? Cheers Dom
  4. Fitted an updated headlight loom and the difference is just. Dipped beam is now brighter than main beam, think I should have got a 2 relay version!
  5. Eurocarparts stock the seal, bout 8 pounds iirc. VW want about 60 with the flange! I got a replacement flange from CTWG60 on here. think he had more than one but not sure if a G60 one is the same as 16v. Check his thread out in the for sale section Hope this helps
  6. Ok, so got my hands on a Toad RK30 kit for much cheapness. Got the loom all labelled up and wiring seems ok except struggling to find somewhere to mount the control box itself. Where has everyone else mounted these? Cheers Dom
  7. I have this exact leak! I could only think of the same crankshaft oil seal, unless you have a small tear in the sump gasket. At the moment I've just been topping up with oil frequently until I can get it properly diagnosed, got a new crankshaft seal flange in preparation though :(
  8. Gf spotted N reg black C in a primary school car park in Thornbury whilst she was there. Think Cazza works around there so guess its him. Shame I never got to see it!
  9. Thats not just any bit of ally, its got letters stamped on the end of it! That guy must be making a mint out of these, must get a lathe in the shed soon........

    Window Rollers

Check the group buy section, there's a GB going on for these at the moment at £2.50each.
  11. It's a 10mm nut on a corsa inlet manifold. The 10mm extractor is too loose, the 11mm is a snug fit but too big to rotate in the recess where the nut is. Think I might have the flats ground down at work for more clearance
  12. Thanks for the suggestions/offers guys. Managed to pick some up at machine mart in the end, not that it did much good!
  13. Hi Anybody know of any shops that would sell these, need these ASAP so can't afford to wait for delivery over the bank holiday Alternatively anybody in/around bristol kind enough to lend me there's for the day? There's a few drinks in it for you ;-) Cheers Dom
  14. Good find, head gasket just went on the missus car so came in handy. Worth noting, ECP can order in jetex exhaust systems and the 20% off code still appears to work so a 3 box G60 system is £293!
  15. I don't believe fully electric vehicles will ever take off. The problem is, where does the electricity come from? Without a significant investment in renewable energy, the environmental impact is just displaced from the car itself, further up the line to the electricity station. The environmental impact of battery manufacture used in these cars is also significant. The infrastructure to support a nation of EVs would also be massive. Added to that, the range of these cars isn't great enough for them to be worthwhile. Hydrogen fuel cells have more of a chance. Still a big investment in infrastructure needed, but these vehicles emit zero emissions and will at least have better range.
  16. Hmmm, who makes the kits? Seen a few toad kits available for around £50, and fitting doesn't bother me too much. But if it saves me the hassle for the right price I could be interested.
  17. That sounds about right. It might be fine noise wise but no way tell unless you know someone with a similar system? you could always have a box fitted afterwards to quieten it down a bit
  18. No cat required as you say its pre 1992, plenty of people do this and still pass emissions. There's still noise limits to think about if you're going for a straight through.......
  19. My indicators were fooked for a while. Turned out to be the stalk itself, same as you hazards worked fine.
  20. Hi After the cold weather freezing my locks every morning I'm thinking of installing a remote locking kit. Anybody got any recommendations for ones that are compatible with the raddo? Plenty of cheap ones on ebay but they all look pretty s**t! Cheers in advance Dom
  21. Watched a few recently. Following - The first film by Christopher Nolan (Memento, Dark Knight, Inception). Only a short one at 70 mins but worth a watch. Must have been shot on a tiny budget but it's proof that budget isnt everything. Similar to memento as the story isn't told in chronological order, so you do have to pay attention. 8/10 Brazil - Heard great things about the sci-fi movie. Felt like nothing really happened for the whole movie and I was bored by the end. Very disappointing 5/10 Great Escape - Yes this is the first time I have ever seen this! Good old fashioned fun to watch when your ill off work 8/10 V for Vendetta - Much better than I thought it would be tbh. 7/10
  22. Saw a K reg raddo parked up on the downs, near Clifton last night. Couldn't make out the model but think it was dragon green.
  23. Exactly what I have. Ridiculously skint at the moment but will give you a shout as I'll need a pair soon :D
  24. Out of interest is this an easy job? Passenger handle gave up at the weekend just went pop but didn't open the door. I'm guessing something snapped which this kit replaces?
  25. 68 probably. otherwise your shortening the service interval of the charger. You would also need larger injectors as the standard ones risk underfuelling when using a 65mm pulley
