Cheers! Sanjay. p.s. those seats...do they have blue bits on them? i like them very much!!

Corrado Mk4-Golf-Reverse style white dials (old thread)
dubbprince replied to Andi's topic in Interior
i think if u can...attach a tiny 3mm or less neon at the base of the needle so light can pass up it...but thats a silly idea cos it'll spin and wires would be needed. cant ppl just do it front lit?? and dim it down enough or remove 2 of the bulbs and just have 1 at the top lighting it. -
i've been driving my mums rocco and it still doesnt seem as low as the corrado seats! I think its cos the centre console in my corrado is a bit more higher up so i feel lower down. aren't cossie leathers a bit wider dalj? oh by the way...does your bro know anything about uploading pics??? he sent me a txt askin if he can upload pics straight from a disk using a link fromt he disk drive. First things first...i'll find a few passats breaking! then i'll ave a look for a cup holder, centre sun blind...and the light up mirror from a corrado, either a left hooker or i'll take one off a RHD and mod it. whats a moon roof???
-
anyone know what bits off the passat will fit the corrado..which are worth having?? or any other vw's for that matter...like a cupholder? arm rest? maybe a light up mirror for the drivers sun blind!?
-
hmm..well last month i saw 2 sets of corrado black leathers goin! and i was also told a guy was offered some just before TRAX when he bought his aqua blue 16valver...in grey though for £250! now theres a set of passat leathers for £250 on PVW! i think ya just need to know when and where the c's are goin! There was a guy last week here in northants that bought his blue 16v 2yrs ago for £2500...and had it HPI'ed first. came up fine. Then he decided to sell it last week and the person interested did a check on it and came up 'written off in 1990'... it had grey leather interior and only had offside wing damage! alloys, scorpion zorst...and other goodies.. he sold it to a breakers for £700!!!! unbelievable! the reason i started the post is cos i just keep seein pics of c's with the leather and they look so nice, and cos i aint driving mine for a few weeks i keep thinkin its ok to strip it out and leather it before i drive it. oh well...i aint really planning on an interior swap till its a bit warmer!

i don't wanna lose the seat positioning...so i'll just have to wait till a VR6 rado has a full interior goin in a few months hopefully. i wonder if the subframe re-welding is a hard job cos i could get Golf mk2 leather seats cheaply...i think.
-
ok guys..which seats go straight into the corrado without fiddling about changing sub frames? how about GOLF MK2 leather seats? Passat leather seats?
-
nice one..you have a black interior! the car looks a different shade of blue in them pics...more purple in places..get them rims mirror polished mate!! you won't regret it. grills lookin nice so is the exhaust...sounding nice?
-
it says i'm not authorised to view them
-
yep! i'll be there too in my corrado...as it'll be the first show i go to in it! 8)
-
i have still got to put the red rear lights on, my powerflow zorst is sitting polished up ready to go on...and door cards are off to be custom made. just got a heck of a lot of wiring to put in and false floors to build for the maps i have. Bally- what sub you goin for?? i can't decide between: 2x 12" Alpine Type R's...1 15" Vibe or alpine...or just one 12" bass box. and amp to match the power. but for now i'm just having comps up front and changing dash speakers. i've managed to re-solder all switches to bright blue too. It looks damn sweet mate.
-
thanks cheesy, i'll run the power lead down passenger side then and RCA's through centre tunnel. Working out where the plasic clips are on the sill cover are gonna be a problem. does it stay down still then? also, i'm gonna be running a 180watt 2 channel amp, a 400watt 4 channel amp and lastly a 900watt bridged amp for a bass box. i'll be using the 4gauge then using a distribution block to split it into 8gauge for each amp. do i need a bigger battery (its a halfords stock one)...or do i need a bigger alternator? i've heard power caps don't do much...as light flashing/dimming still occurs with them.
-
Thanks for that, i was thinking the 5inch gap between RCA's running down the drivers side, tucked under the centre console... and power wire running down the passengers side tucked under the console again. I take it its too close then, i'm aware of interference..but i didn't think it would be that bad. How easy is it to lift off the sill covers? they felt like plastic to me...which i'm afraid of breaking. The power lead is 4Gauge! its about 1.2cm thick! then 3sets of RCA'S! which combined together are atleast 4-5cm thick! Thanks for letting me know about the grommets...i'll have a go. any more ideas?
-
great...cheers DM! i look forward to hearing from you, i thought i'd ask as knowing someone on here they have done an amp installation on here and know where to feed the amp wire through the firewall too! the console must be easy to take apart..but i thought i;d as k as the door cards were a right job to take off!
-
ok first up...my total closure function on my toad Ai606 doesn't seem to work when i hold buttons 3+4 down! any ideas?? how do i take the centre console up...i mean from dash all the way to the rear passenger area...i want to run amp wiring and RCA's down to the boot throught the centre tunnel. also...would anyone fancy re-soldering bright blue LEDs into the exsisting electric mirrors switchs, sunroof switch and spoiler switch...so 5 in total! i'd pay of course... Cheers! Sanjay.

wots the printer measurement to print out the DIY dials out accurately? someone said i had to use paint shop pro or something to size it up perfectly then print from that package! anyone used MGI photosuit?? or maybe someone wouldn't mind printing off some dials if i paid them?
-
its bloody awesome! BUT i've been told i should of waited till i got the exhaust mods done first...as the induction will get louder apparently! oh well i love it right now. theres a slight problem with water going into the box and settling in the bottom...is that why theres a pipe coming out of the back at the bottom? This mod works fine with no extra air feed...the way it normally works is air is pushed between wing and front drivers headlamp and into the front pipe of the airbox...it passes through a funnel. if you remove the funnel then it can disperse faster into the box...it sounds like the car can breath much more now! not sure how this would affect fuel economy? :?
