  1. the headlights are easily taken apart... theres 3 screws on top... then unhook wiring.. then two metal clips on top push towards you and the black plastic surround comes off. Then you'll notice 9 clips unhook these and the glass can be pulled off the unit...then clean it and give the silver section a wipe too! top mod! :D
  2. mate it took me 1hr or so to do it right and cleanly cut the corner...but my right foot has become a bit heavier since stepping into the car! just 3 weeks exactly to go till i drive it!
  3. OH MY GOD!!!!! this is sweetest mod anyone can do to a corrado!! Many thanks go to JOE M!!! That guy is a god...i just did as he suggested: Cut this section out of my airbox- The car sounds like a V8 engined Corvette!!! It has a louder induction roar than a vr6 with the same mod or as an induction kit. A MUST FOR ANY STD AIRBOX'S!! i am dying to drive my car...took it for a spin round my area and boy did i get looks!!! another thing i did was take apart both front headlamps and cleaned them like crazy! made sure the rubber seals were still ok...and put them back on the car. They look brand spanking new!! Next is blue interior lighting...

    mot failure ??

what if i place an LED cluster bulb in place of the normal clear one, then its more orangey right. if i place black vinyl stripes over the brakelights but have the reverse and indicators red then bottom would look fine and top would be less smoked. It would also mean they'd look more cooler!
  5. they just catch oil coming from your crankcase breather whic is fed back into your air filtration system. in plain english, if you don't want oil dripping everywhere this thing can catch it...especially if your 16 is a towny short journey car, its crankcase gunks up like chicken soup more..than if you take it on long journeys where the oil fumes and moisture mix to evaporate quicker. its upto you really, you don't NEED it as such, but it looks cool and does a nice job. Problem might be with emptying it every month or so. :?
  6. can ya get Mocal type ones... 1ltr ones? i'd be interested in one too... Cheers! Sanjay.

so what about MK5 polos?? they have read rear lights... :(
  8. bally..you meetin up with david either 2morro or friday mate?? to get that washer pump of yours fixed...if you get the airbox mod done mate...i'd like a listen to it to see if i should scrap the drilling and try to customise a pipercross filter onto the air meter. cheers.
  9. the rear speakers...are they 6x4's? i think kenwood makes them in that size. which HeadUnit do ya have woody?? i'm gonna get that £300 odd MP3/WMA unit when i can afford it...if you have it, whats it like?? made your own screensavers? Cheers, Sanjay
  10. i wouldn't know mate...its not my car ahahha check out: http://cayotic.com/pov/howto/angel/angel.html http://faq.auto.light.tripod.com/other-lighting.htm The actual angel eyes website is down right now due to site rebuild... You've lowered the car 100mm nearly both ends and its on 18's!!!??? thats crazy...you weren't at edition38 were ya?? with that big guy in charge of The Golf Shop...near the volksbits stand i think... if so!! i was right near ya car near enough for about 1hr...very nice!
  11. i've been asking all over the place for the induction kit thing..been told pipercross do a kit for the 16v engine..£90 i think. I have mates that work there so i'll find out about that. Also read up on how to drill my std airbox...but i need a K&N panel filter first i think. I'll be buyin a custom powerflow zorst this weekend...so a trip to the garage may be in order to have it fitted. The car is still 'off road' due to insurance..i turn 21 in 4weeks so just sitting and waiting still. No tax yet either.
  12. lookin good boss... looks as though you have aqua blue too...and i noticed a very nice VR6 hood on yours too! with a raised centre section. Good luck wid ya exhaust...i should have mine this weekend. 8)

  17. i'll try to get my mums chassis code later on...
  18. my corrado and my mums scirroco (below) have so many things in common: 1. interior being the first, 2. shape of both of them, 3. rear bumper having the same sort of pattern, 4. how the window slopes at the back, 5. its funny how my mums car uses the Golf GTI 8v engine, and my corrado uses the Golf GTI 16v engine. lastly i just think the scirocco was slowly phased out, hence why the corrado was released around the same time. I think VW wanted to keep it going and for a while it did...Both are great cars though!!
  19. try either of the following: adrian flux, HIC (Herts insurance company), Liverpool Victoria, Express Insurance. p.s. YES declare your body kit! what are ya gonna do if you have a crash? and insurance finds out you didn't declare the kit, it'll mean your insurance is void! at 17, i would just drive the KA around for a bit standard. THEN 1yr later after you have saved up a shit load of dollar...by the kit! and go with either HIC or liverpool victoria! all mods declared and fully comp! You'll be paying about £1k+ right now! and declaring anything other than the std Ka will mean £££'s in the eye of the insurer! the same goes with ICE, changing indicators! exhaust, air filter etc. by the way...what made you ask these qeustions on the CORRADO forum?? your best bet is: http://www.streetka.org/ good luck pal.
  20. I promised my g/f i'd see her a few night ago after she finished work, i had to go by bike! 7/8 miles..was not happy at all. I have to wait 4 weeks till i turn 21 so i can get cheaper insurance on the 16v sitting pretty in my garage! But my mum has now offered me her 1992 1.8 8v scirocco scala, it seems a hell of a lot faster...could be due to the low down torque! i hate buses! i hate bicycles! and i hate havin my mates rub it in that i can;t drive mine yet! The only thing keepin me going is the time i'm saving for some mods in the 4 weeks, but sadly cruising times over and winter will set in...so it doesn't make me that much happier.
  21. what would be classed a long time guys?? because i've left my c in the garage for 1 week so far and have got 4 more weeks till i drive it! Would you suggest i do any of the above? should i turn the engine ona for a bit ever so often?
  22. i was told it could be the fuel filter! if you can unscrew the plug and give it a bit of a clean, it should run ok. if not then i guess its ya ditributor...i'm not good with mechanics, but i got the info off another guy at a show at silverstone a few weeks back. He too had a 1.8 16v, and told me it kept cutting out and not starting at all. VAG told him it could be ECU, but it turned out that the fuel filter needed cleaning or even replacing!
  23. also...could you take photos of that piperX induction kit it has mate...i'm interested in that one. and which insurance company will you be going with and how much? i'll be going with HIC and paying £850 TPFT when i turn 21 in 4weeks...yep! 4 weeks i have to wait till i drive mine!
  24. ben...are you from porka.net too?? if so i used to have my polo till about a week ago. did you get it from up north then!? excellent mate! Sanjay.
