  1. Nice job. I would have used clear or black myself :D
  2. Sorry can't help with that. But I recommend calling your card company immediately and registering a dispute. They will then put a hold on the transaction until it is resolved either way. They will then send you some forms. The company does not need to have folded for you to take this action. The meer fact the company is not responsive is enough to register the dispute, which can be retracted if the company suddenly sends your goods.
  3. Shame to see you sell it. I know you thought about it earlier in the year. I'd have bought it at the time if you'd kept it for sale. However if you decide to split the recaros for any reason then I'd be interested.
  4. You'll get it back if you paid over £100 per transaction on a credit card. A credit card company is jointly liable with the retailer under section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974. I've recovered money several times from the card company when I've not been happy with the goods and the retailer has been difficult. On one occasion the bank (Lloyds TSB) refused to get involved but after writing to the banking ombudsman and highlighting that they were liable in law then the bank offered a full refund.
  5. Might be interested in the cassette box if you did intend selling it.
  6. Funny you should look at the old cassette holders for a satnav frame. I've been thinking along similar lines. Unfortunately most newer satnav don't have an audio out so thurs speakers are an issue. Some older models do have audio out but I am not sure on map support for them. Also been looking at larger Android phones or some of the smaller tablets that may fit in there which would offer more than just satnav.

Good work there. Cleaning the engine bay and spare wheel area is showing dedication :) Really love the wheels too.
  8. Can't help with contacting him. But do you really want to buy something from someone who won't reply?
  9. The ABS is most likey to be one of the front wheel sensors which will either need cleaning up or replacing. If the mechanic has VAGCOM then they can check for any error codes. The sensors are quite cheap so not a big deal if it's one of those.
  10. I know this isn't going to happen but... VSR manifold??????? Ok, had to ask :D

    Gear knob size

The original one is still available at the dealers for around £36.
  12. I'll hate myself for spending this much but I'll take it (assuming recorded delivery if it's that high value). I'll pm you. Thanks everyone else but I'll take this one.
  13. Late heater controls.+1 rear parcel shelf straps.Sunroof motor.
  14. +1 for seat bolsters.+1 for shivered corrado badge.Rear silver VW badge.Leather steering wheel.Leather Handbrake handle.
  15. Replaced my boot shelf straps with new ones from veedubmachine: http://www.veedubmachine.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=101_102&products_id=957 They are very slightly different but the same length so look fine.
  16. I generally use VAG main dealers because I've owned my 2003 4mo since it was 6 months old and keeping the VAG SH has been worth it. But even VAG dealers vary in quality. However I am really happy with my current one (Colbornes in Hersham, Surrey). As it's getting older, last year I did use a local indie in Kingston to replace the brake pedal switch. The idea was to give them a small job and if I was happy then I would use them regularly. But it was poor service. Not only did they open the garage very late (with me waiting outside on a yellow line getting late for work) but they didn't put the under dash trim back on properly afterwards. It rattled like hell until I did it myself. It may be a minor point but it was shoddy and probably an indication of their future work. So I take it back to Colbornes again now and am happy again (although it's much more expensive obviously). I'm not sure where I'm going to take the Corrado yet. I doubt Colbornes have anyone there who has worked on one recently and I'd prefer to take it somwhere that has.
  17. Sorry for the delay coming back to this thread... Much appreciated but I want to keep my front chrome badge in storage and put a black one on. If I can't find one at a decent price then I'll get an old one and do the same. Thanks for the offer anyway. EDIT: Ok then. I'll drop you a PM.
  18. I did see the word "obsolete" on his screen (but didn't check the date it was marked as such). So I think it probably is indeed obsolete. I'm thinking about having a go at refurbishing mine. If I get around to it I'll let you know how it goes. Mine isn't too bad really but I'm on a bit of a mission to get the car looking right.
  19. I asked my dealer about the leather handbrake handle 2 or 3 weeks ago and was also advised it was now obsolete.
  20. As above, chin up. On the plus side you'll probably find a really good quality auto as it probably hasn't been in the hands of someone thrashing it. It will probably be less money than an equivalent manual too I guess. So every cloud and all that.
  21. I'm looking for: * A black front VW grille badge * A chrome rear VW badge Must be in very good condition.
