Tried turning off any firewalls? Tried another browser such as Firefox or chrome? ---------- Post added at 07:33 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:28 PM ---------- Also what happens if you browse from another device on the same network? E.g. a mobile phone over wifi to your home router to ed38? I wonder if your IP is blocked.

2012 bumpety bump :)
-
Final last chance bump to see if we can get more interest to take us to the £150 squares rather than £125. I will probably buy the square tonight if I get time and we get no further volunteers.

No sooner had I read stu37's thread and saw the damage...

Jesus a lot of them are getting hit recently. Sorry to see this one to. Hope the repairs aren't too bad. -
Doing the same :) My Corrado music seems to be a homage to the 90'a recently.

Might be worth clearing your browsers cache.

They all come back eventually. the next few years may be the last chance to find a half decent one t a reasonable price :)

I've had mine less than a year... despite nearly buying a brand new Storm in 1995 and unfortunately not doing so at the time (long story) :) So I've only been to a couple of shows. I went to GTI International last year and one of the Pistonheads shows. I hope to be at more this year although kids and a very busy job gets in the way a bit. But owning a Corrado is only half the fun. This forum is a fantastic place and it's amazing how much people help each other out on here. So you've got some good times ahead :) -

Yes it's a fairly rare colour (although there seem to be a few of them popping up in the last few months). I think they were only a 1994 colour which explains why they are not that common. Just find a good bonnet (or use yours) and get it resprayed. You'll end up with a better result than another old bonnet that happens to be the right colour but is equally old and stone chipped. Mine needs a bit of a font end tidy up too. I need your brake upgrade. Mine are standard and remind me very much of my old mk2 Scirocco GTX back in the early 90's... i.e. shocking compared to modern standards :D I see you have aero wipers too. Something else I keep meaning to get around to. -

Haha. Actually your pics have been very useful. As I just mentioned, I'm tempted to get the speedies refurbed and use them as winter wheels. Also I'm quite tempted to put amber side indicators back on and your pics show both. Agreed on the Storm grey love though :) But to be honest I don't think there are many colours that don't suit the Corrado. -

Not sure how I missed this before... I'm getting tempted to go back to speedlines on mine based on these pics. Looks lovely. -
Parked the Golf next to it, glanced across at the rear quarter of the Corrado, thought to myself "that car gives me so much pleasure even just looking at it" and then actually stroked it as I walked out of the garage. Ok I'm a big womans blouse getting all sentimental like that but if the weather holds up then I'm going to find time to take it out for drive tomorrow. It has been too long.

Well I'm sure that with £1200 I could definitely get a lot of, ahem, head work ;) I've just realised one area I'm not happy with the car, aside from bodywork; it needs a new windscreen. The current one is showing its age and while I've got used to it I do recall it being one of the things that made me think it was an older car when I test drove it. I might look into that a bit further.

Front page updated with names of the people that have paid. Once again thank you everyone for taking part. That's great, thanks. I'll drop you a pm. The more the merrier :)

That hits the spot :)

£12?
-
Every 6 months I get a payment from work for carrying a phone with me and being contactable. It had slipped my mind and I will be getting it at the end of the month. Plan A is to keep it as Corrado maintenance fund. But I could almost guarantee it would be eroded over a few months by the family spending it on non-essential items like food and clothes.so it would probably be gone by the time I need it. So this is the most sensible option and most likely but also it may just get frittered away quickly. Plan B would be to use it to get some minor bodywork issues tidied up, such as a few parking dings, front end tidy up, etc. Plan C maybe some engine work... What would 1200 get me as far as engine overhaul or performance mods? The chains have recently been done but that's obviously not the same as getting head work done etc. So what would you do with the money?

I've pm'd everyone with payment details tonight. So the next steps are: 1) Please transfer the £10 to my account. 2) If your bank lets you put in any reference text then please add your forum name. 3) Please confirm either by pm or in the thread when you've made the payment. 4) Once I receive everyone's money then I'll buy the section of track and confirm the track number on the forum and in a pm. 5) In the unlikely event that people don't send me money then I'll either just fill in the gap or refund everyone's money. Once again, thanks to everyone willing to take part :)

I love pics like this. It shows how different Corrado's are to everything else.
-
Hmmm, wonder if my side repeater indicators will fail. They are dark grey and probably not as bright when flashing.
-
Didn't know that. Thanks. ---------- Post added at 11:43 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:26 AM ---------- I had the same thought about the stands too. But it's not really a "stand" as such, more just an area in the show where you all park together. I used the CCGB stand for GTI International last year and it was my first year of owning a Corrado. It was just a small area of grass where we could all park together. But it means you don't have to hunt everywhere to find fellow Corrado owners and, equally important, as you're in the show area itself you're confident the car is safe and no-one will scratch it or dent it in the car park. For £10 a year the club is definitely worth it.

National Day 2012: Sunday 20 May: Brooklands
Portent replied to Tempest's topic in Event Announcements & Discussion
Any good? Not exactly a B&B but you won't have far to travel in the morning :) Never used it so don't take this as a recommendation. http://www.brooklandshotelsurrey.com/ -
What happens at the AGM? I assume any of us CCGB peons can come along if we want? I'm only a couple of hours away so may pop along.
