Your a proper gentleman mate for apologising fair play
-
where abouts in north wales are you, as im in colwyn bay

I dont think its personal mate, These people are plebs and just look at the registration letter and not the car! They think its an old banger and could not possibly outhandle or out perform there 1.6 eurobox!! Real car enthusiasts will know what a corrado is, I have had new jag owners and expensive BMW owners raise a smile at me in apreciation! Ignore them and laugh at them

Amazing how we all seem to feel the same about our stressful lives and how our generation is so materialistic and we all seem to work stupid amounts of hours just to keep afloat! Something we all take advantage of is our health , but when it fails and you have no back up it can be worrying as i found out earlier this year with a bad back i was totally crippled with pain for over six weeks, and being self employed and in the construction industry had no income at all! Luckily my wife has a good job but she still had to work extra hours to keep things a float and that has caused her extreme stress and she is always tired so your quality of life soon goes down hill,. The media dont help expecting us all to have the most expensive i phone and expensive cars financed up to the hilt and huge expensive houses with massive mortgages! Have you seen the amount of kids walking about with £600 phones, Crazy,

opinions on a 1.8 16v corrado as a daily driver..?...
joby replied to e30-dk's topic in General Car Chat
I wouldnt want to use mine as a daily now but imo the valver can be hard work around town as it can feel slow as the engine is best driven hard, as it needs lots of revs to keep the engine spinning, They can be quite nimble if they are set up right and the suspension is not old and tired! And can be fast if driven right, most valvers are old now and very few are running as vw intended also they are hard work getting in and out of with them being low -
wouldnt mind popping round to yours for a look at how this conversion is getting on as im thinking of doing this myself
-
Well they should sort it kip as they sorted mine, but the guy pulled a right face that did it, but the car drives sooooo much better now! Good luck mate

I would never dream of using kwikfit generally, but seeing there advert on TV saying 25% of every tyre you would expect them to be competitive! But NO miles away from any other price i have had, I annoys me that they think they can overcharge like they do!! everything they seem to advertise is just a con in my view and all there fitters seem like numpties on the phone!!
-
Why do kwikfit bother to put stupid adverts on TV stating 25% off all tyres when there clearly not and more expensive by far than other tyre fitting centres! Example/ 225/40/18 falken fk452 £96 each fitted localy, Kwikfit £156 with25% off!!! I mean come on thats just a rip off and a blatant lie!!! How do they survive in this climate??

Good quality tile adhesive and Grout is a must!! Do not be tempted by tile adhesive grout combination as its crap, If you are on a budget B&Q do a quality tile cutter thats not too expensive and has good reviews on tilers web sites, and only use a electric wheel cutter for difficult cuts! Setting out is the most important part, Centre the walls and measure back to each point so you have identlcle cut each side, Measure twice cut once and remember a sprit level is your friend, Take your time and good luck

Thanks for that, managed to get it sorted now, Had to take it to a garage and they set it up on a hunter machine and managed to get the settings right but said it was a nightmare to do, dont know why as its only lowered 25mm, anyway it handles and drives a lot better now and drives nice and straight

No david none of the above any other ideas

I swear this car of mine is on its last chance before it gets a basil faulty beating with a large bush!! Was off today so decided to try to get the tracking and camber somewhere right as the car has been pulling over to the nearside on braking for a while and i knew the camber wasnt quite right, First i set the tracking up and managed to get that somewhere near right but the camber on the nearside just wont seem to adjust enough to get the camber plumb with a level, its always pullin positive with no more adjustment, going to bite the bullet and take it to a place with the hunter machine tomorrow, Question is and what is worrying me a few months ago i dropped the subframe to replace the arb bushes and im wondering whether i have not tightened the subframe up square enough if thats possible and thats what is causing the problem? Surely the tolerences arent much on the subframe? Any ideas? Before i get rid once and for all
