  1. Hello  Just wondered for those that dont use their corrado on a daily basis. How long do you normally leave it parked up until you drive it again. I only drive mine once every week for 30 miles just to keep things running and charge the battery up at the same time and out only on "special occasions" I could just disconnect the battery I suppose and leave it standing for longer but I dont think it will be good for the car not driven for longer periods.
  2. Got this mod done yesterday... Got some "Mr Cosy Draught/ Rain Excluder" :) from a local DIY store...costing £1.75p for 5 meter strip (only in brown :( though ) for the price it was really good stuff. Had loads left decided to do both sides of the engine bay instead of just the battery.
  3. Today - Black Corrado on the roundabout near shell Black Cat Petrol Station...
  4. On foot monday of this week in Bristol. Spotted a Black or Dark Blue Corrado reg K891??? near Bristol Museum at the traffic lights
  5. + 1 Great Idea !!! Battery area is always wet after raining. Will be doing this mod :)
  6. Thanks for that part number good to know you can just get the PCV on its own and cheaper from VW. Not sure if its the pipework itself or the PCV that is causing the slight leak will have a proper look in the weekends
  7. I have a different fire extinguisher to that one (fatter kind) and I keep it in the rear seat centre console area where the first aid box would be. Faster access incase of emergency and its hidden from view.
  8. I need 2 one for either site...Depends how much you are charging for them. Do they look alright on yours when made with the helicopter tapes. I know its not a show stopper if I dont get them replaced but its an eyesore when you know its like a bad blister on a corrado :)
  9. Seems like a very cherished car with full VW service history Thats a pretty low mileage too any other corrado VR6 lower than this. If I were you just buy it off your mum at a discount of course :D and keep it.
  10. Thats very expensive for a roll of tape to do 2 coin size protector pads...Maybe CCGB could give these out as a freebie to members hint hint :D
  11. Thanks for the reply guys...Knowledge base in here is amazing :) Learn something new one less part to worry about :) Thanks for the tip will see how much ford charge for this Part compared to VW
  12. What do you replace this black circle bits with see pic. Its just above the rear lights when you open the boot. Mine looks vile :) DSCF0639.JPG[/attachment:3iurrtap]
  13. Had a bit of a nose around in the engine bay today and noticed part A and B were a bit oily. Just wondered what is the function of part A and B circled in the picture on a VR6. Part B aslo had a slight oil drip onto where the arrow is pointing. cheers DSCF0643.JPG[/attachment:2itlaqjn]
  14. Have you had your ISV Damper box removed on the VR6. Not sure if the sound is coming from that...mine has that removed and there is a distinct sound when on throttle.
  15. Thats some serious storm maintenace...Great work How much does VW charge for the Caliper repair kit. I am looking into getting my brakes overhaul
  16. Does putting it in gear places less strain on the handbrake cable???
  17. Not sur if its anyone from here...saw a corrado storm reg N595DTW on the A55 (near OK Dinner services)
  18. I had the same problem on mine where bits of leaves were coming through the interior vents when I had the blowers on. You have to give the scuttle area a good vacum. I also used a vacum cleaner dust filter on mine...the ones you cut to shape. I just cut an oversize filter over the blower mesh so that it can be held by something elastic to tie it in place.

  21. Mission failed !!! :( Attempted to get the old speed sensor off today...I Cant seem to get the allen key bolt off at all holding the old sensor in place as its corroded into a diffent shape for the allen key tool to get any grip on it. Probably gonna be a garage job now to do it from the underside of the car.
