VWVW replied to VR6 Lee's topic in Members Gallery
Yeah its gonna be one storm fest of a meet :D We are three storms already. -
They are really tight !!!! I took mine to a local exhaust fitter to have them loosened then retightened just enough for me to get home to work on them.
-
All the meets are always miles away from me :) Its a 1hr 40 min trek for me...Iam still debating on this. Do you know where exactly in Trafford is everyone meeting up? cheers

You must be missing her like mad...but its in good hands at DG :) Love to see this in the flesh with your bros one one day in the NW meet sometime. -
Iam looking for original late corrado vr6 3 slat grill. Must be the open 3 slat grill. Let me know cheers
-
Not driven the car for 2 weeks..recharged battery and took car out for a chill out drive :D
-
What wiper blades have you tried ?...I replaced mine with original VW Quantum wiper bladed and they are fine..They are pretty cheap too from the dealers. Think it was around £12 all in for two front wipers.
-
What did you do to the manifold did you get it sandblasted and painted ?
-
Nice idea...Got any interior pic showing this ? I am not too keen on the ciggy lighter and would replace it with a torch instead :D If you decide to sell the original refurb calipers let me know...I ve already collected original VW brakes and pads just needs some original calipers as mine is in need of refurb. cheers
-
off topic...but iam liking the centre console, bar and volt meter...would love to have some in the future in mine but cant justify them at the moment...
-
Thanks for the replies...I will look into the 3M adhesives not sure which one yet...my bonnet "waffles" are not too bad just needs sticking back...would love to have new "waffles" but the shrick manifold will just wreak it as its a tight fit.
-
The "waffle pattern" foam undert the bonnnet is saggy and is starting to peel off. Can anyone recommend a good adhesive so that I can stick it back in place. cheers

Have a look at this thread. viewtopic.php?f=15&t=99945 Eurocarpart is offering 20% off all orders from 4th until 28th January using promotional code JAN20 thats £ 260 all in for a Jetex 2 box system exhaust. Not sure if that is within your budget.

I did PM my address about this...but heard nothing -
see second pic from another thread I have found...The black box arrowed I think thats the ISV Damper viewtopic.php?f=1&t=54565&hilit=isv+damper+pic Here is a bit more info I found about it from other threads The plastic box near the throttle body connected to the ISV on OBD1 VR6 motors is the ISV damper. It keeps the ISV a little quiter. Without it you might hear a slight whistle, whine, or airflowing past the ISV when the ISV is in use.
-
Could be the sound coming from ISV damper box... Mine is deleted and it make the whistling sound under load not sure if yours is still present.

Unless a proof of postage was obtained from royal mail then you cant claim against them. Even so the most you can get back from royal mail is a few 1st class postage...May have to just accept that its lost in post :( -
Just wondered...the old coloured fuses that are used on the corrado...has anyone replaced them all to "modern" coloured fuses or are the old ones just as good in burning out when there is a short. Also would you get marked down in concourse competition if these fuses are replaced with modern ones...too.
-
I have some dub power ones in mine. The black coloured ones for the VR6. They also do them in other colours check the link below http://dubpower.co.uk/VR6%20parts.HTM

I have disconnected and reconnected my battery loads of time to stop battery drain before I purchased a battery charger and it hasnt affected my car at all. I think the ecu learning period is within the first 10 min from what I have read in here. So once you reconnect the battery and start the car dont leave the car idling within this 10 minute. Just drive off straight away as you normally would and it will "learn".
