I ve read on other threads that if you go for a debadge grill it will lower the temp by as much as 7 degrees on the oil temp...some later grill like the one I have on the storm have the two upper slats "filled" up so that only the lower slat is open which lets in less air to cool the engine when on the move.

Spotted a red corrado reg ending JCC today crossing britania Bridge, North Wales.

Took car to the MOT station today and its a PASS!!! Woohoo. I tell ya it was an anxious wait. Also got a great deal from KWIK FIT for getting the MOT done for £25 which I thought was a bargain.

Cheers for the reply...I just wanted to be sure...because when I saw on youtube they just connect red cable to positive end of battery and black cable to negative end of the battery ie not connected the back cable to any part of the chassis that is grounded.
-
Sorry if its obvious but better to check with you guys first :D ...I just bought myself a ctek charger for the VR as I dont drive the car very often. I thought all that needs to be done was to connect the red cable to the positive end of the battery and the black cable to the negative end of the battery and thats it... but when I started to read the instruction manual...it says when charging a negatively grounded battery...Connect the red wire to the positive pole of the battery and the black cable to the vehicle's chassis. So if Iam following the instruction method. Do I just clamp the black cable anywhere on the engine ????

I thought I had a bargain...£55!!!! I dont think that can be beaten :) regarding Cosco do you have to be in the trade to be able to buy from them or are they open to the general public ?

Ive been in the lookout for some battery for the corrado vr6 recently and found the below supplier to be pretty cheap in comaprison to Halfords. http://www.manbat.co.uk/ I went and collected a Varta Silver Dynamic 63AH CCA 610 all in for £72.53 (the battery dimensions are 242mm X 175mm x 190)This is with a 5 year Guarantee which I think is amazing price compared to Halfords selling the Bosch Silver equivalent at £119.99 all in. Hope this will help anyone who is looking for a car battery at the moment.

When will the first batch of calenders be posted out ? -
Thats good to know...cheers Mark. Personally I prefer powder coating in silver myself as you can see the parts better rather than in black. It will be for parts what you have done to yours already like front subframes, rear beam and front and rear brake calipers and carriers. If you could PM a quote that will be great just to give us some ideas on costings.

Its just a thought ...VW never gave official numbered plaque for the corrado Storm model... Would corrado Club GB take it on board to design and give out "unofficial numbered plaque" to owners of verified corrado storm models. The plaque could be placed just below the storm badge in the centre console. The request from storm owners for these plaque will give the club a head count of the number of storms that are out there.

Nice thread... Laser Mark - Do you offer shot blasting and powder coating as a service...I may need some parts doing in the future ?

That section should be held by two screws..If its loose on yours it could be missing. If its not sealed properly it may affect your running as air is getting in through the gap ? -
Not sure if you can get the filter on its own...If the ISV your after is for the VR6 you can get the ISV round circular section bit from VW for 30 pounds all in. Just ask the parts man to look for the ISV for a VR6 sharan.

Anyone done a refurb on their standard corrado vr6 calipers can you still get the caliper pistons on their own ?

Waxed the car with some collinite wax to give the paintwork a bit of frost protection.
