    Yes you do have a problem . It's good you can admit it though . I will send you a pm , with the details of a monthly meeting , a lot of us attend . You get given a name tag and a chance to stand in front of the group and admit your OCD ness .

    Lol , I was an agricultural mechanic when I left school in 85. The dealership I worked in sold deutz far tractors (spelt wrong ?) anyway the tractors had the same steering wheels , indicators and a lot of interior parts that were on the Ladas and skodas at the time . The tractors ran as well as the cars . Good old eastern bloc.

    I like the way he gives a little bit of history about the areas the cars were made in and what went on at the time too . I'm a bit of a Cold War nerd so that was interesting for me .

    That sounds like a worn camshaft . The phone is to close to the engine , so its distorting the noise . I could be wrong , normaly you can here a camshaft noise ,thats starts with a tappety sound then gets worse over a period of time . Good luck with sorting this .

    Hi Gar , I will be in touch about the bits I wanted soon , I inspected the underside last week on the ramp and it looks damn good to be honest , so I will be giving some thought as of what to do . Regards Rob

    As above , i am trying to access my old pm's from 2009 , i can only go back to 2011 , is this beacause the forum was revamped?. Can the Mods check ? even if i cant ?. Kind regards Rob

    I'm thinking ignition switch too . My T4 started doing this . Mine would start will a wiggle , I changed it before it broke down . Mabey it has just died instead of playing up first ? . Hope you get it sorted .

    The Storm looks lovely . I had a look at the Ralley too . Stutters on exceleration ? , for over 7 large you would think they would sort this first , before selling ? .

    Personally I would go oem bud . I don't know if they are still available , if not it's after market . I would have thought with the sensor , it would go and that would be it ? Not break down slowly . Worth checking the wiring to it as well . Could be expensive for what it is .

    The car will still start bud . It will give you problems every now and again though , as you are experiencing now , the timing of the fuel delivery and valve movements etc . I would check the wiring to it and i think the manual tells you how to test the sensor itself and i know your a dab hand with the meter .
