Yes , the bit on the passenger side Jim , seems strange , but if that's the way it's meant to be then so be it . I never noticed it before when I had my old stuff on . Thanks for replys Rob

Morning , I was awake at 5am as I couldn't sleep . I thought I would offer up the new lining under the bonnet . How any pieces should I have for a VR ? As one of the shapes looks wrong ? . It could be tiredness, or an epic fail on my part but something is not adding up here , or have I been given a G60 one . I have 5 pieces by the way . Yours yawning Rob

On the top of it , there should be a metal flap type part ? . It's on a spring so it should be able to open further then, retract back to its setting .

Lol ! . Good luck with the drive up there , I was going to ring you and tag along , but Dan has put my car back to Sunday , to pick it up . Can't get it till 12.00 pm Have a good one ! -
Now that is a real bummer Sean . Gutting really , sums up most drivers I'm afraid . On the other hand there are those out there on the roads , that would not even know they had hit someone's car ! . I know it's not much , but at least it happened now .....rather than after you have had it painted . Rob

Welcome along , great bunch on here , loads of info , if and when you need it .

Mmmmm fresh paint ! .James beat me to it with the bonnet question . Looking very nice .

I don't see why not , obviously leave the plug end dry . If you have the manual it will tell you the size of the opening , I think it's a quarter of the hole showing ? Rob

Isv is behind the throttle body , cylinder shaped part with hoses coming off of it . If you remove the hoses it will pull off it's holder (there's a rubber sleeve holding it on ). Simply place the isv in a jar of carb cleaner and leave over night to clean it . You can gently move the opening flap with a screw driver , to make sure it's got free movement . Do not attempt to open it any more than it is , they are set to leave a certain gap . Post a pic up of the way it is now so people can see what size the appature is . Rob

I like the height . The wheel looks lovely and fresh . -
If there's lots of sealant there Sean , it's normally for a reason . The pillars may be rotten , I'm not saying they are though obviously you won't know till it's out . Mine were rotten and had loads of sealant as it's the only way the fitter can get a good seal as the rot is not their problem , they are just there to fit the screen . The pillars are obsolete now as far as I know . Having said that the body shop can make them up . If the paint has hardened around where the screen sits I cannot see a problem . I had an old school fitter from Auto glass do mine , as above they don't like doing them as they are a pain . Rob

Thanks guys , it will be a while before she gets any more dough spent on her .

I used the autoglym , found it worked well . Rob
-
Cannot see a problem there Stone , i still would not go to mad with it . I would coat it in the autoglym cold engine cleaner first and leave it for a while , then another coat . Then wash it off . When its dry repeat again but use a wire brush , use the small ones to get in the hard to reach areas . Then another wash off . It's also an option to use the cleaner , wire brush off and use a rag to clean off as well . Rob

Nearly done .

Welcome along . Be prepared to drive up n down the country to find what you want , the chances of finding one close to home are slim but you never know , you could find one in the southwest . Good luck with your search . It will be nice to see another corrado down here . -
Good find Emu. , Rog , make sure the stone doesn't bounce back on the bonnet !
-
I'm not knocking the seller , but why use 2-3 pics back n front , when a few engine bay picks are needed ?
-
I don't think there's perfect car in here bud , all we can do is try our best . If I won the lottery I could always give it to restro shack lol . The work they do is amazing .
