Yeah fuel pump is working , relays checked as well , taken the pipe off at the rail and fuel is there , I thought it was the pump as it was whining , so I replaced it .i have a spark . So my thoughts are is fuel being pumped out of the injectors properly . Rob

Thanks Rog , symptoms are non starting , have a look at robrados non starter thread , I'm sure it's fuel , but I want to do a compression test before I take the injectors out and test them . A quick run through , basically , when I was trying to start the car it would take 5 or 6 cranks and then it would splutter and slowly pick up and run fine , it's gone down hill now to just turning over . The last time It was running , it was sat on the drive warming up and it just cut out . As I said have a look at my thread , I've replaced a lot of parts and checked a lot of things . I think it could be down to blocked injectors . Rob Edit chains have done 50k .

I was told the other day that a compression test should be done with a warm engine , presumably because the pistons have expanded ,the rings are nice and tight in the bore ? .as some of you are aware I have a non starting Vr , I need to do a test , am I wasting my time cranking a cold engine ? And will I come up with a true reading or not ? . Thanks Rob

That's a real bummer , reminds me of when I opened the garage door , started to drive in and the wind brought the door down on the bonnet . Hope you get it sorted soon .

The clicking will probably be the starter motor get stuck , if you give it a tap with a wooden hammer or put the car in gear and rock it it will jog it into life . Either that or ignition switch . Rob

Ok , so I have removed the metal bar from under Neath and the screws , but it's still wedged under the bumper , how on earth do you get it off from here? It looks like it's got tabs but I can't move them . Rob

Nice of you to ask , no progress yet , I have a free weekend in two weeks time and some time next weekend .I had a nice letter from the tax man saying he wanted more dough so I've been working a lot, Some one has to keep the good people in dole money lol .

If your looking at the rear of the car and the boot is open , it's to the left and sits on top the plastic trim that sits between the lights . Sort of an odd shaped square bit .

I was looking at corrado parts on flea bay about a month back . I saw someone had the elusive boot square shaped plastic that sits on the top near the lock . He wanted a tenner , I offered 7 quid and he excepted . He then said he could not find the part and gave me a refund . Two weeks later I get a message saying he had found it and sent it to me for nothing . What a bloody nice bloke I thought to me self .

Welcome to my world ! Mine was the same , now will not run at all , working my way through at massive list trying to find the problem .
