  1. Good point that Jim . Hopefully that will sort Endeegee's problem , my fuel filter has only done around 2k , so unless I picked up some crap and it got sucked through , mine is the pump . When I removed the two fuel pipes one was bone dry .i would have thought both pipes would have fuel in if the pump was ok . Rob
  2. As mr mass says . Mine has stopped whining now but it's coming out this week , any starting problems ? .
  3. Mine is starting to pull away from the door , I have tightened the screw but it's getting worse , is this the repair you sell Dave ? . Thanks Rob
  4. Oh , just a reminder don't pull of the window strips on the doors , they will bend and will be useless ! ---------- Post added at 12:50 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:46 PM ---------- Mmmm I deleted my other post by accident , roof strips were still available from Tps , around £80 I think .
  5. As above , if the new pump turns up on Tuesday , I would like to fit it in the evening . I have removed plug , screw cap etc . Is it just a case of removing fuel pipes and lifting it out ? . Thanks Rob
  6. Not sure meself Jon tbh , like I said its clean as a whistle , free moving , so why the stalling ? , just can't afford the obd2 change ATM though . If I get a second hand one whose to say that will work ?
  7. Hi jon, i got it from carparts for less, its the bosch one . It was £122.00 its discount online today . Rob
  8. Been having starting problems recently . I think I've narrowed it down to the pump , I went out this morning and the revs are bouncing up and down all over the place , I'm not sure if this is the fuel only getting into randomly or the isv ? . I've cleaned the isv twice and the spring valve is running free and easy . Not sure if isv's are still available new ? . Any help would be appreciated thankyou Rob
  9. Can you post the engine cover please ? If so I will take it . Thanks Rob
  10. Don't let the distance bother you , there are people on this forum who have travelled a long way to find the right car . When you find the car you want and are over the moon with it , you will be pleased you waited and the train fare 400 miles up north or where ever you got it won't matter . Happy hunting ! As clumpy says g60s are getting hard to find , I would love to have a nugget .
  11. Take your time , otherwise the inevitable will happen and you could end up with a right mare . Gut instinct is usually right , if your not happy then walk away . Don't get me wrong there are cars out there that will have things wrong with them , in fact all but the most looked after to death will . But there is a difference between, owners who have the parts to fix the nigley bits , but have not the time and just fallen out of love with their car and those that try to cover it up . Again gut instinct will usually be right , ie you can tell by the sellers attitude . You say you are a bit green , we all were at the start , if and when you find one that's ticks the boxes , take someone along who knows their cars for a second opinion . My mate who sold me my car six years ago has always been into dubs and still went along with an AA bloke to check it before he parted with any dough . Use the search on here to find the usual suspects / problems etc Rob
  12. Have to agree with vr6 south , I recently had the rear end put back to oem , apart from the seams . Oem will always be top , especially when our cars really start to decline in numbers . Have also noticed the small amount that is for sale on piston heads . A few more write ups in car magazines , will always help as well . It was nice to see the one in practical classics last month .
  13. Must be the corrado fuel pump failure season ! , I need one too , will be having a look at eBay , parts for less is £122.00 for the Bosch pump . ---------- Post added at 8:45 PM ---------- Previous post was at 8:39 PM ---------- Who did you by from Jon ? Conflicting prices . Thanks Rob
  14. Not sure about a g60 as I have a Vr but it sounds like pressure escaping from one of the temp senders that are in the block . If it is it's no problem , it's only a rubber 'o' ring that's given out . Sure some of the g guys will put you right if I'm wrong Rob
  15. Yep , there has been a few fuel pump problems lately ,a few people have said that theirs just died . Mine is whining and im struggling to start it , also if its on around a quarter of a tank it will sputter .
  16. Yes you should have fuel coming through as the pump primes the system . Car parts for less do a Bosch pump for £122.00. Pretty sure I need one too , I will be getting mine from them Rob
  17. Shame , , compleat tosser .
