  1. Think standard is best really , with a couple of tastefully done small mods , I put angel eye headlights in when I first got it , they lasted two weeks !!
  2. Thanks red , although I'm not doing the work , it's the body shop doing the proper job lol . I agree it's a lot of work to do when you change your mind 2 years later !
  3. Thanks mate , yeah it takes a while to get done , be nice to have all the badges back in place , minus the holes as they are being stuck on . Hopefully back on Wednesday after a polish . You will be able to see her soon .
  4. Real shame when things fall out of bed like this . It's a pain as most of us on here , are good sellers and buyers . I know it won't mean much but don't be to put off next time Rob
  5. Well i have a few update pics . I had the rear smoothed two years ago and now going back to oem , well bar the weld / join , line . Unfortunately the bit where the roundle badge sits , was never going to be good enough to put the badge back in . So thanks to chaos30e who cut out the piece where the badge sits ,its now coming together . Hopefully i should have her back on wednesday . A few before and after pics . Really looking forward to picking her up . Rob
  6. I have a few in my spares too ! May explain why my sunroof works when it wants to !
  7. Mitre bond is another good product , spray one side of the broken peice , carefully glue the other , hold together for 10 secs ,sorted .
  8. The reason I said around 5k was , there have been interested buyers on here , or people who have joined up and said they wanted a top car and were willing to spend to get the Rado that they wanted . Not saying that they would definitely part with 5 . If I was in the market , had been saving for a long time , done the research etc and this came up I would be looking at this car , if its as good as it sounds . Would still try and knock him down though !
  9. That's a bummer , as far as I'm aware they just got the pillars ? . Have to see what the body shop or chaos can come up with then .
  10. Who knows what it will be worth in years to come , I'm sure they can't get any lower though ! . As more become extinct , only the good will survive , assuming no accidents that is and the price can only go up hopefully. I'm no expert on prices but I would have thought around 5k for yours in the market as it stands now ? What you have to remember is although the car has low mileage , the parts are still 17 years old , depending on what has been replaced obviously.
  11. Sorted ! I can vouch for chaos , top bloke , had my bits in 3 days Rob
  12. Just a thought , you could try chaos303 ? He cut me a rear section piece off two weeks ago , so he may well cut the pillars off for you Rob
  13. Mine were replaced around 18 months , two years ago ? . Even if out of stock like Paul says a good body shop will be able to sort it for you .
  14. I had mine done , the pillars were £60 a side from Vw , not sure if they still have them , it's not something that gets replaced everyday , so you should be ok Rob

  19. Ticking could be the starter motor , rock the car backwards and forwards a bit in 1st gear , then try . Robster R32 was at mine earlier, went to start the car , same problem .If it starts then you know starter is playing up . Rob
