  5. Not to bothered about the whine , but I clearly think I'm getting very little fuel to the rails , will pressure test first though . ---------- Post added at 12:40 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:39 PM ---------- Lol wullie !
  6. Thanks for replys , i have tried priming two or three times Owen , it worked a few times but its getting harder to start , so yeah it looks like its the pump ,thanks Hatton and portent it confirms what i thought . Funny thing is it changes the pitch of the whine when the lights are turned on ? Rob
  7. I have a strange whinening noise coming from around the tank area . Its loudest when you get your ear next to the rear wheel arch . Im experiencing problems with starting atm , once its started its fine but from cold it can be hard work to start . I think its the fuel pump that has gone , as its spluttering when its trying to fire . I have removed the offending fuel saver which is years old and fitted a new fuel line tonight , i thought it may be blocked and giving me grief .But still struggling to start from cold . Do fuel pumps whine when on the way out ?. Its not the central locking pump as i know the noise that makes when it over runs . Any advice will be appreciated as always . Rob .
  8. Bosch is a trusted name , if my new pipes and removing the stupid fuel device does not work then I will go for this one , I rang a new carpart company today , for the same Bosch part they wanted £488.00 !!!!!
  9. If only i was going ! Next summer i will be going to some shows , will be great to meet some of the people on here .

  11. Welcome along , well done for saving the car , another Rado in Devon , there's a few of us here . Rob
  12. Cash deal no vat ? Money is tight with everyone ATM . When I had mine done they did it in the evenings and weekends , I avoided the dreaded vat and they got a nice lump some tax free to enjoy . Oh if anyone on here works for the revenue , this didn't really happen , I just made it up , in fact what am I saying I don't even own a corrado .
  13. A delorean , a very rare site . Yep I think the weather brings all the classics out .
  14. Was on the way to see the mrs who works in A n E to drop some stuff off to her , in front of me was the Monte Carlo in yellow . Nice car , to see on the road , first one I have seen anyway . Looked it up on piston heads and it says there are only 12 or so left on the road in England , or maybe 10 can't remember which . Looked great anyway , not everyday you see something like that . Rob
  15. I'm not much of a tennis fan , but I was hooked on that match , after all these years we have a British champ , well done to Andy Murray .

  18. Well done mate , looking between your first post and now up to date , it's great what you have done with your Rado .
  19. Thanks Si , had a look at euro parts and the Bosch one comes in at £120 , they were £166 . Will ring Tps tomorrow .
  20. Had a problem for a while now , my vr sometimes had problems picking up the revs while starting . It only used to do it accasionally if you stopped somewhere and went to start the car twenty minutes later or so . Now i have the problem from cold starting . I can here the fuel pump priming ,[a low hum?] and a click from the relay . but the engine is struggling to pic up the revs to fire as if the fuel is not being pushed through , the only way i can describe it is , it sounds like the car is going to run out of fuel and spluttering . The car will start on around the 5th time of trying though and after driving for a short period , will start with no problems .But after half an hour or so later will start but again it is stuggling. My first port of call is getting someone i know with a fuel pressure gauge to test the bar .I know i need to remove the fuel saving device thats been on there for years as well ,as im sure this is not helping . Anyone else had problems like this ,i think im looking in the right direction thinking its the pump .The search revealed it could be the return valve . Any advice would be appreciated . Thanks as always , Rob .
  21. I believe they are all the same , the only difference is the earlier lights sit back more than the later models .
  22. Mines standard as well apart from a racing head and a chip , love that Vr roar . More power is very nice , but where can you use it ? .
