Thanks , you have both put my mind at rest . I know the screen is bonded , but it makes you think , where is that water sitting that has leaked into that hole ?

I gave the old girl a wash today and found that the trim has come loose around the top edge of the windscreen , not very happy tbh !. I had a new screen in 2010 when the repaint was done and the pillers were replaced as they were rotten . I have spoken to autoglass today and a technician is coming out on friday to re seal it . I hope there is no damage done , i dont know how long its been like it . I presume any water that has got in can escape ? ,just a bit worried as this is why my pillers were replaced in the first place ,due to poor fitting . What do you guys think ? Regards Rob

Lovely looking car , I remember my friends dad having their golf delivered to them , it was silver . We had to stand at the end of the drive and shout for them to come out and play , we were forbidden to enter the drive or go go anywhere near his brand new car !

Have you got the small odd shaped plastic bit that the boot stopper sits on ,its next to the lock on the top of boot plastic , been trying to get one for ages ,thanks .Rob

Hopefully just the price of a new sensor .

ABS ecu or the pump ? was the sensor new or second hand ? .If the sensor worked when you fitted it and now the problem has come back i would look at another sensor , maybe a fault with the electrics to the sensor .

Sorry to high jack this thread but thought I would link up to save starting another . I have a cobra full closure as well , my problem is I press the fob to unlock and 9 times out of 10 it will lock itself up again , i normaly have to unlock it twice to get in , any advice welcome . Thanks Rob

Maybe worth changing the temp senders while your at it ?

Also have a few bits and peices to fit , how long have i had that handbrake tunnel part ?lol. Pleased to have got hold of the plastic underside protectors ,as they are hard to find now [thanks matt]. And the wiper arms bracket will be another step forward to a cleaner bay .

Over the £500.00 mark now then thats great !

I think so to mate it just blends so well , only a couple of weeks till the spray shop , looking forward to getting her sorted .

As some of you know i lifted the bonnet with the windscreen wipers up a few weeks ago [duh], this has taken the edge of the bonnet back to bare metal .We are going to touch the edge back in first, then if im not happy the whole bonnet will be repainted I have also noticed that the seems on the rear that i had welded and filled are blistering . So she is going back in and having some treatment. The weld line is going to be opened back up ,as i dont want the same thing to happen again . Also going to have the badges replaced ,i have wanted them back on for some time now , i want to go back to oem look .Will put some pics up when she is being sorted . Regards Rob
