  1. I believe the front bumper is available new from VW Classic Parts. Chance of finding one over here is very slim.
  2. Hah.. to be fair that was Tom who used to come up with the witty names. I'm far too sensible for that kind of thing :)
  3. Will take a look for you. Got other preferences if just 'Jamie' is taken? *edit* Sorted. There was a 'jamie' but he registered 9 years ago, and was last active 9 years ago.. so... he got chopped :)
  4. Got a couple I think. PM me your address and I'll pop em in the post.

    Indicator Help

Could be a relay, but also a bad connection on the stalks? This thread: http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=57884 I'd start with removing and refitting them as it's a quick job, then look into changing the relay :)
  6. Classic Parts price is 199 euro... so I guess UK price for heritage once shipped, and re-shipped would come in at similar or just under the cost of a retrim of the existing headliner. Have to say it's reasonably encouraging looking at the classic parts site - new bits seem to be getting added all the time.
  7. You mean this one? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-Corrado-VR6-Not-G60-16V-/281473495143?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item418920b067 It's not the right colour alas... the Campaign colour is more purple.
  8. Didn't get a chance last night as I was straight in the house and back out the door again - will look tonight!
  9. I believe they'll do a visual inspection, and if they can see that your cat pipe is not standard or has been modified to a decat, they'll automatically fail you. The only way round that is to take your existing cat and smash all the innards out of it.
  10. I really should look into buying a multimeter!
  11. Ah - the symptom I'm referring to is when you first start the car, usually after it's been left long enough for the engine to be stone cold, is that when it bursts to life (usually with very little cranking I should add.. always starts quickly and first time) sometimes it shoots up to like 1500-2000RPM then comes back down to the normal level of about 1,000RPM - then settles down the normal level (650RPM) after only a minute or two of warming up. But I noticed the other day when putting the car away which requires a bit of faffing as the alley behind my garage is tight, that the engine got quite warm and idle got a bit funny - it seemed to click into idling at the sort of level as if it was stone cold again (1,000RPM'ish) and seemed a bit lumpy. I've got a spare blue temp sensor anyway so may just swap it to rule it out.
  12. I've got some of the symptoms of my blue temp sensor being shot - one being the engine often revving quite high when the engine first starts from cold. Just wondered if it can also cause the car to feel a little "flat" - I assumed it would as presumably coolant temperature relates to how the engine is fueled? The car still feels reasonably brisk but really feels in the last month or so like it's suddenly become a 2.8 VR6 :)
  13. I might have some of these from doing my recent heater matrix job, as I had to get a spare heater box. I will try and remember to check when I get home!
  14. Too true - not a job I'd relish getting stuck into mid winter!
  15. I think the remanufactured switches look bright if you sit and stare at them, but I honestly don't notice them once I'm driving.
  16. They're a great choice for the Corrado - look excellent!

    HID's

I'm not sure what exactly she has on her car but Wendy has a HID headlight kit that Stealth retrofitted into the existing headlights. Had no reliability issues with them yet, and they've been on the car for years - and up until recently it's always been her daily driver.
  18. Good luck! Any questions just post up and will try and answer having only done this myself recently.
  19. Well it is mostly car stands, and lots of traders too but the place is massive - it spans something like 7 halls of the NEC so there's certainly plenty to see. Classics, modern classics, supercars, utility vehicles, motor bikes.. well worth it :)
  20. Well I've owned mine about 4.5 years now and not including countless jobs I don't have receipts for, or parts bought second hand on the forum / eBay, etc etc the box file (plus some jobs in recent memories - wheel refurb, a little paint, and some tyres from Mr Lobitos) come to £6,119. I guess if I took that up to £7,000 (though could easily be more) for all misc parts, etc from over the years. Most disappointingly though, by the time you factor in the original purchase price that takes me over 10k - and realistically I doubt it'd even be worth 2k if I sold it today because of the high mileage and the fact it needs a bit of paintwork, and the suspension refreshing again.
