  1. I've had these guys bookmarked for some time, and heard only good things about the quality of their work Roger.. http://royalsteeringwheels.com Cheers.
  2. Raised :) The later G60's have facelift exterior (bumpers, wings, bonnet, etc) but retain the early interior (slidey heater controls, etc).
  3. What's the paint condition like on the rear spoiler mate?
  4. I also had a feeling looking at them that there's a more defined lip / layer for the badges that are either chrome or have a read finish, whereas the primer ones are more rounded...?
  5. Thing is the original badges are still available from VW but just in primer. So we just need them having the brushed silver / chrome finish applying to them.
  6. I don't understand why we cannot get Trimsport or the likes to reproduce the Corrado rear badges. I'm sure they'd easily shift a decent amount of units. They have the contacts / companies who know who to remake these badges. Hell, if I could find a company that could do it, I'd happily organise another group buy to get it done.
  7. Had they driven over from the UK or were they French?
  8. I think that would be a very sensible thing to do.
  9. Wow - what an introduction! I've said it before many times, but I love seeing all the places in the world where Corrado's live - never even occurred to me there were any out in Israel! Was the car originally sold out there, or was it imported from somewhere else? Great work on giving it some TLC and overhauling it - looks superb now and I bet it drives great with all the upgrades you've done.
  10. Great response and attitude - thanks for getting onto this. Fully understand how work can just do a U-turn on you some days (had a 16 hour day in the office late last week because of a major incident with a customer database) so I am sympathetic to your situation. Cheers.
  11. Hard to say really. Just because a car is rare, it doesn't automatically make it a safe bet for investment or guaranteed to appreciate in value. Would love to own it myself though, no doubt about it :)
  12. You were lucky there mate! Did the officer happen to ask about the car in any detail? Would have probably caused a raised eyebrow if he'd found it was pushing the better part of 400BHP :)
  13. I think it's a fair point being made. If you buy from someone well established on the forum, you don't expect to be given this kind of run around. I'm sorry for whatever situation you've found yourself in P3rks that's keeping you so busy and unable to ship parts to people that have paid for them in good faith; but I think you owe all these folks some updates. You chose to list the car for sale when you did - if your personal circumstances at the time dictated you didn't have the spare time to handle the sale of the parts, then why list it? Thanks.
  14. Damn.. not cheap.. the ultimate winter hack! Fit a set of decent winter tyres to this and it'd be unstoppable but looks to be in too nice a condition to use for winter runaround duties!
  15. I've seen these guys at the Classic Car Show for a number of years now - they sell just about every possible sized nut, bolt, fastener, washer, grommet, etc etc - reckon they'd be able to help you out! http://www.wrightsautosupplies.co.uk
  16. Which country are you in? They look like US half leather seats, which we never got here in the UK. But yeah does look like you need the switches for them which are, I think, not only obsolete but also extremely uncommon to find on eBay :(
  17. If you can take a photo of your car interior, we can tell you what seats you have :)

    My 2.0 16v

It astonishes me really that people do this. Why not just fix the problem? It could just be as simple as a sensor! Good luck getting to the bottom of it :)

    Blue Smoke

Made feck all difference for me. I found that my engine was much quieter after an oil change, especially to 10w50 but only for a short amount of time, before it started to sound more and more clattery each day and I also noticed that the oil started to smell strongly like fuel a month or so after the oil change making me think the rings / bores were shot and fuel / oil were mixing. It was also guzzling oil regardless of what grade I put into it.

I'm wondering if, when serviced (depending on the garage that did it), they just used too thin an oil - like put that usual 5w30 stuff in that most modern VW's use which is way too thin for the VR6. I'd consider servicing it again and going with some good quality 10w40 (e.g. Shell Helix, or VW's Synta Silver, etc) and see if the problem persists?
  21. A good friend of mine is trying to clear some bikes he has for sale. First up is this really nice Genesis Altitude XC, custom built by him. http://www.pinkbike.com/buysell/1647813/ I said I'd post the advert up for him on here as I know there's more than a fair few bikers on here! He's a totally genuine, reliable guy so I have no hesitation in linking it up here for your perusal. Location is in fairly central Coventry (as it's collection only). Contact me and I'll pass you his email address if you want to ask any questions, etc :) Thanks.

Out of curiosity what make and grade of oil did you fill up with?

    First corrado

Base level of mods and then just keeping on top of fixing the niggles is always my favourite kind of Corrado, so welcome to the forum. And yep, get some pictures up :) :)
