    Standard G60 Chip

If the weather is better tomorrow (hammering it down here today) I'll go over to my lock-up and have a dig around for it. I wouldn't want anything for it tbh - I've no idea if it's even an original map, and in working order. I've had it for about 7 years but I'm pretty sure it does have a VW logo / part number on it so much be the original ECU chip which was removed and replaced with an SNS one.
  2. I think I speak for the mods here when I say I would have precisely zero interest in taking on MORE responsibility, like if this forum were to become more like the club and try to generate revenue for shows, events. That already happens to an extent (I organise a rolling road day most years, for example which is primarily organised on here rather than on the CCGB site) but I'd never want to formalise that any more.
  3. This forum, and the Corrado Club of GB are seperate entities. However with the Corrado community being so small, all of the committee and large amounts of members are (regular) Corrado Forum users. I do agree the CCGB should pay a donation towards the forum of some kind as we benefit from it being here as it enables us to reach our members easier. Something else to talk about at the AGM perhaps. If we could set something up formally, and possibly get some kind of banner advert out of it - I don't know. Would really depend on: a) How much Andi would want for something like that b) Whether members would vote yes for something like that
  4. They certainly used to do them illuminated in green Jon.. :( Maybe a group buy quantity might persuade them?
  5. All the copies I've produced, it's very easy for me to export them in a 'friendly' format for electronic download. Older issues however will require hand scanning in of every issue, as well as cleaning them up and formatting them in such a way that they can be packaged up in the same sort of way. I believe Dave did start on this and I was pretty sure there were more Sprinter copies up on the website. I'll have to have a butchers when I get a few minutes over xmas!

    Standard G60 Chip

I've had, in a box of bits in my garage (from way back when I bought my Corrado G60) an ECU chip. I believe it to be an original one. It's been in it's original box all this time so should be in good order. If owen can't find his, let me know and I'll go investigate - pretty unlikely I'm going to be able to sort it out now till after xmas (28th onwards)...
  7. Remind me never to default on any auctions of yours! :)
  8. Not much you can do - don't even think you can leave negative feedback these days which is mental... only elect to leave no feedback at all. To be fair, in something like 13 years on eBay and hundreds of transactions I've really had very few issues - 98-99% of transactions go off without a hitch, and that has included buying and selling all kinds of crap.
  9. Looks like one of the illuminated Rieger gear knobs (and leather gaiters - came as a complete kit) which were available a few years ago.. not sure if they still are!

    New daily

God it looks SO much better on the Sebrings! Good work and looks like another one saved :)
  11. Not trying to sound bitter (honestly) but I'd be interested to know what you would like to see in the club magazine that would make it worth your money? It's impossible to come up with new ideas if I can't get specific feedback or features that you'd like to see.. that would at least give me something to work with.
  12. Have you read much of the new issue Vorn? :) Have done exactly that for the first time this issue!
  13. This months issue smells like a burnt wiring loom! Next issue will have that alarming smell of coolant making you wonder if your heater matrix is about to go, or your radiator is leaking..
  14. Well we can't risk putting that money into any kind of investments obviously as it's not our money to do with as we want.. and presumably as the account needs to be handled like a business account, we can't put it into an ISA or anything like that either. Even then the amount of interest on 6k would be a pittance.
  15. Really? I never knew that... ;)
  16. Very cool :) Rather like the green 16v badge on the front too... brightens up the front end a bit even though it's quite small :)
  17. I spoke to another club at the Classic Car Show with a similar membership count to ours (single make & model) who had actually just axed the paper version of their magazine due to lack of content, costs, etc. I would dearly like for us to keep our magazine afloat but it's very hard getting content together when we're a single make / model and a limited membership base.. I felt pretty awkward when I went over to the Skoda Club and saw their A4 magazine. But when I read it, content wise had all the same sorts of stuff as we have in ours but purely the sheer range of cars at their disposal (including old and new stuff) meant they always had road tests on, and plenty of technical issues across the different models to discuss / document.
  18. Indeed. I'm hoping we don't get in hot water for that... but I figured it's only advertising the car, and too small for anyone to want to reproduce it to make a poster / make money out of it. I hope to include similar such pictures / adverts in future issues as a bit of a novelty :)
  19. Always a tough one when you're on the committee but I like to think I can remain pretty impartial here, just looking at it in black and white. It may seem that we have a very healthy bank balance (and indeed we do) but you have to bear in mind it was significantly higher just a few years ago - and as Steve says we reduced the fee from £15 to £10. This was done to erode some of that balance out a bit which we've now done. In addition to this we've done more 'expensive' events for the club to host (like the trip to Brooklands this year for the National Day - which cost, I believe, more than the membership cost for each member that went for the parking on the banking.. and any club member was welcome to come to that!) whilst simultaneously looking for ways in which we can save money where it doesn't need to be wasted (smaller room for the AGM, for example). I'm fairly indifferent at this point as to whether the fee goes up in the coming year. Personally I'd be willing to let it run for another year and then see where we stand. And honestly we want to hear what club members have to say. I'm all ears for well reasoned points and opinions.
  20. Well the link was the Scirocco there but I accept it was a bit tenuous! :) I wouldn't have written about it if I'd done it in a Land Rover or something! :)
  21. Good to know this car lives in the Midlands :) You'll have to make it out to our Midlands meet when the weather gets better? I used to know the guy who ran this place http://www.pureklas.co.uk/ - he was very well regarded amongst folks with show cars, who got their wheels refurbished by him so may be worth a punt? :) (based in Coventry)
  22. Reliant Scimitar as a 'sensible' alternative to a Corrado? Shorely shome mishtake?
  23. Well the camber adjustment article is something from the archives, by RW1 :) Thought it was a nice technical article to stick in there as it's something many of you wouldn't have seen before - certainly predates my time in the club!
  24. Always have admiration for those who give up their time to do things like this for the forum.. you're very much in the minority _Meth but it's much appreciated. Good work mate.
