After changing anti-roll bar droplinks on my car towards the end of the summer, we began another job we didn't actually need to do in the end.. but in the process discovered I appear to have mismatching CV joints on my car. Couple that with a noisy wheel bearing, there's a bit of work to be tackled in January! :)

Was wondering when they'd start to show up... not seen mine yet! :) Glad they made it just in time for christmas! I apologise for yet another Scirocco feature guys but... bit of a struggle for content this year and it was the best I could come up with!

Could be that the switch itself is just faulty too.. pretty sure I've replaced a heated window switch on one of my cars over the years as it simply never turned on when the switch was pressed!

Nipped over to the garage today and popped the snorkel out of the airbox and pretty pleased with the sound out of the car now. Not too loud, not too quiet.. makes a good noise on a bootful :) Nice one.

Sounds like you made the right decision then Fay! 5am is pretty good going Yeah we made it out and had a good time. Left Eric, Chris and his other half at about 7pm to go meet up with my other friends and ended up staying in town till gone 11pm and having to run to get the last train home. Bit fuzzy headed this morning! Not heard from Eric or Chris yet so no idea how they are :)

I'm surprised a Storm model VR6 hasn't been made yet. Revell did fairly nice larger scale models at £25 but they were standard VR6's with a few non-original details on them!! I'd personally be all over a Corrado VR6 Storm model in either of the original colours - Classic Green or Mystic Blue! -
What would you do if you had to scrap the 8v mate? Find another 8v? Or buy something non-Corrado...?

I'm going to guess that if he's after some cheap lower suspension as a stop-gap, that £700 coilovers might be a little bit out of budget!

Ah nevermind Fay! Was looking a bit doubtful for me last night - had to hit the hay early feeling decidedly under the weather and whilst I'm not 100% this morning, I do feel better enough to make the trip out for a few hours :)

One the throttle cable starts to stick, lubing only works for so long unfortunately. The VR6 throttle cable should still be available and isn't too horrendous to change. I had the exact same sort of behaviour on my old G60 and was able to do the throttle cable swap in 15-20 mins :)

I have an Aldi (or Lidl.. don't remember) which is apparently a rebadged C-Tek charger and cost half the price. It works brilliantly and the handful of occasions I've nearly killed a battery from leaving it too long, it's always managed to revive it! Well worth it Dave!

This is the only 3rd Corrado I've ever seen in Khaki... rare as hens teeth! :)

I'm staying in Birmingham most of the day because a different group of friends are coming up for about 7pm who I've promised to meet up with too... so will be there from midday till about 11pm for the last train home. If you still wanted to stick around, I'm sure you'd be welcome to tag along with them too! :)

Great. Standard airbox too quiet... BMC too loud (for me - old man) :)
