Could also be the infamous ignition switch, with the weight of the keys causing it to move just enough to think the ignition has been turned off. Is the key on a heavy bunch of keys? If so, try removing it and just putting the key in the ignition by itself and seeing if it still does it..

The bodywork on the VR is stunning so with a sweet running engine, I'm sure you'll get what you're asking Karl. Sorry it has to go especially as you've got a real good one.. but good luck with the sale.

Another person here who's thought about learning to ride a motorbike! How difficult did you find it, and was it pricey to do? Did you do an intensive course or just chip away at it? Anyway - nice wheels. Hope you enjoy them :)

I can tell he's in the USA so a wanted ad on here might not be much use (we're mostly UK based). Anything from a 4 stud, similar era VW should fit just fine - surely should be able to find some of those in a junk yard or something?

Dark Knight Rises - 9/10 for me. Good conclusion to the trilogy, super effects, interesting story.. really enjoyed it!

I have to say I was generally uninterested.. I think the general negative publicity, the over commercialisation and so forth all served to put me off. But I must say I relented last night and decided to tune into the majority of the opening ceremony and thought they did a fantastic job.. some bits that genuinely made me laugh (Rowan Atkinson.. legend), and some bits that made me stare in awe. And as has been mentioned already, the music selection was first class.. I even watched a bit of the womens basketball this evening and found myself quite enjoying it :)

31 years old. This is my 4th Corrado, but I've had Corrado's now on and off for about 10/11 years.

It's a fantastic colour when it's polished and waxed - so bright :)

Replace the plug and the MAF I guess is the only way forward? :|

Any semi-competent garage with laser alignment tools should be able to do this - I've never struggled to find a place to do this in the West Midlands!!

I always found my 16V didn't seem to care about it being connected either but it's there to detect knock (I think) for fuelling so probably quite important to have it fitted. They're still available from Volkswagen (I bought one about 18 months ago) but they're not cheap.. about £60 IIRC.

FWIW mate - I had an intermittent clicking on the front end of my old 16v when some pattern part wheebearings had been fitted. It went away when new VAG ones were fitted.

LOVELY! How are you finding the M3? It's a car I've seriously considered a few times now they've dropped to affordable levels but was always concerned about the potentially ruinous running costs..

That's a very good question... I'll have to try and have a look at ETKA over the next few days (not going to be home much..) to see if the part numbers on them are the same between G60's and VR's!
