  1. You mean other than putting the Sprinter magazine together which I've been doing for nearly a decade? :) Publishing / design is a strong word as I'm an absolute amateur no doubt about it but I can do a bit, and it's enough to make the CCGB magazine at least, and occasional things like this for the club. The advert is nothing more than a lightly fettled photo with some text over it but.. still.. better than nothing I guess.
  2. Also will see some of my work in that magazine - a half page advert for the Corrado Club :) Can't wait to pick it up for the Corrado feature though - see how well it scores against the competition!
  3. I'm pretty sure that's for a Clifford Alarm System - possibly the Blackjax security feature? I think you can use it to program in some kind of code... and if you get carjacked, the thief will be able to drive away for a short amount of time but then the car cuts out and they can't restart it without putting in the code.

    PAS pumps VR6?

Be interesting to hear what you find when you try running it without the belt. Could of course be the belt itself, but presumably you replaced that with a new VAG item during the rebuild?

    PAS pumps VR6?

Could still be the pump. They can take a little while to quieten down and fully bleed themselves. Have you tried lots of lock to lock steering with the engine running to bleed it?

There's also this workshop manual which I think I have somewhere, and may help you out. I don't remember thinking it was especially excellent and comprehensive though :) http://www.amazon.co.uk/Volkswagen-Corrado-Scirocco-Workshop-Lindsay/dp/1899238409

There isn't really a workshop manual for the 1.8 16v but it does share quite a few things in common with the 2.0 16v - certainly stuff like the cooling system and so forth will be functionally very similar. This Haynes manual for the Passat covers the 2.0 16v / 9A engine so might be worth a punt: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Haynes-Workshop-Manual-VW-PASSAT-May-1988-1991-1781cc-1984cc-/182076930742?hash=item2a64a17ab6:g:dI8AAOSwoudW2eQA
  8. Tempest has a white Corrado but can't see him driving that quickly as to cause someone to comment on it!! :)
  9. Pop out the rear ashtray. Makes a pretty decent cup holder I find :)
  10. Does seem ridiculous, Chris! :( Maybe location not helping, as you're pretty far north? My lock-up is empty for the next few months whilst my Corrado is getting sorted - if you wanted to get it down here to open up the potential audience, I'd be happy to store it handle some viewings, etc?
  11. Actually it seemed pretty good for the money. Had a few advisories but nothing horrendous. But had been rattle canned with matt black spray paint. Definitely not beyond saving though. Here it is: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1993-VW-Corrado-VR6-with-MOT-Ratrod-Project-Track-Day-Car-Parts-/191839815694?hash=item2caa8b480e:g:d1IAAOSw9KpW~oMU Guy fairly underpriced it I think.
  12. An £800 VR6 I think. Not surprise it went quickly!
  13. Sure thing mate - 021 971 595B. Link is here, still showing as in stock: http://www.volkswagen-classic-parts.de/en/leitungssatz-853c8c.html
  14. I'm going to hazard a guess they were lost during a forum migration a while back. As the forum has evolved it's switched between a couple of different pieces of forum software - and they all handle things like attachments differently unfortunately. That thread is nearly 10 years old! The only way to ensure that images will be retained will be to host them offsite, and just link to them in a post. Certainly worth dropping the forum owner t700bes a PM to see if he has any ideas but I suspect they've long gone.
  15. Thought some of you may be interested to see a VW Classic Parts order I placed the other day. My VR is currently undergoing another engine rebuild, and Yandards tipped me off that he'd spotted the wiring loom from the round multi-pin connector onwards for the VR6 listed for a very reasonable €109. I procrastinated for a few weeks but relented and made a purchase. His reasoning of replacing a 20 year old heated / cooled loom from a car with over 200,000 miles seemed quite reasonable! Came today. It's the wiring for the injectors, all the temperature sensors, oil pressure sensors, ISV, coil pack, and I think the MAF. Not a bad price really going by their normal pricing - this type of loom for other models seems to come in at about 3x the price. Manufacturing date seems to be from 2002. Still a nice new piece to fit whilst everything is apart, and I will of course hang onto the old one as a spare :)
  16. Would love to see pictures of some of the other stuff you've got or been working on! Still never had the chance to go out in any of the classic American stuff but it's a long held dream to own something, some day (though with the prices some of them are fetching these days, I think I may have to write that off!) like a Charger, Challenger, Mustang, Cuda, etc...
  17. Nice. I'm hoping to replace the suspension on my VR at some point, and whilst part of me wants fixed height dampers (cheaper, etc), I like the thought of being able to get the ride height just right. Certainly be interested to hear how you get on with them though I figure it'll be a while till they're actually on the car and you're using it!
  18. Awesome. I get extremely weak at the knees for American muscle cars, especially stuff from the 60's :)
  19. Very nice. What model are the Bilstein coilovers?
  20. No, it's OK - please go for it. I think I'm going to keep saving and pick up a new kit. Cheers.
  21. Pipes for those that are interested :) They're not quite as glossy as I feared they would look so I think will look reasonably OE. Good service from Roose!
  22. From the username and terminology in the post, I'm guessing you're based out in the USA? :) Welcome to the forum - we don't get that many overseas users. Got any pictures of your Corrado?
  23. I hope the exhaust is better than their marketing / advertising at least. Took this pic at the Restoration show at the start of March, advertising their Milltek Classic system for the Corrado VR6. Not sure where they got those dates from!! :)
  24. Did me making enquiries about the price, and asking to see pictures in two separate posts not signal interest in them?! Not sure if you just didn't see my posts. But I don't mind to be honest - you go for them.
