The blank button isn't a button. It's a piece of plastic.

I do agree that the facts are sometimes a bit wrong in these mags but on this occasion I think the construction of the sentence is correct!
-
It must be an engine mount given the kinds of noises and how they're occurring.
-
OP - can you just upload to YouTube?
-
First one sounds like a loose heatshield possibly? Hard to tell. Second one - sounds fairly hefty! Engine mount? Park the car, open the bonnet, handbrake on as tight as you can (knowing Corrado rear calipers, not always easy!) and put it into first and gradually lift up the clutch into the biting point and see how much the engine is moving?

Corrado Specialist in Berkshire / South England?
Jim replied to maddjaxx93's topic in Suppliers Forum
For a G60 I would highly recommend John Mitchell / JMR based in Littlehampton on the south coast. Website is here: http://www.johnmitchellracing.co.uk/ Alternatively, I think The Phirm are very well regarded too. They are in Camberly: http://www.thephirm.co.uk/ -
Shall look to pick up a copy - cheers.

Don't forget a change of pants :) -
Do VW have an embargo on talking about the Corrado
Jim replied to Chuggs1's topic in General Car Chat
That is very good. To be fair to them as well, there's 26 million likes for their Facebook page. I can't imagine the amount of correspondence / queries they must get through Facebook so it would be impossible to acknowledge them all! -
Kind of surprised - I thought there would be a lot of enthusiasm for this part. Guess not!

That I don't know. Part of the reason for going on the 22nd is to see if there is progress :) Keeping my fingers crossed. -

Hoping to head along to this now, just as a spectator though. My Corrado is at Stealth, but with the engine in bits :) -
Annoyingly VW Classic Parts list these, but seemingly only for the style with the switch as well - the same as what easypops has.

I shall reply to the post as the CCGB facebook account too ;) -
Sounds mostly likely. I guess depending on how hard the sump was hit, it might also have damaged the pick-up? Only way to know is to get the sump off and have a look. I would imagine you'll get away with just replacing the sump though.

I think my mate in America has said he's happy to help, but dragon green's lot sound interesting. If anyone has a spare bonnet cable kicking around we could get them to quote for reproducing them?
-
I'll email my friend now and make enquiries before we go ahead.

I have a friend who lives in L.A. - if there was enough interest, sure I could get in touch with him about receiving and forwarding on a bulk order of this part to me. Presumably you could coil up a whole bunch and stick them in a box no problems.

If you looked at cars on the road today, you'd think that there were no other colours beyond silver / blue / black and white. The Corrado had so many great colours - yet how often do you see a car now in a nice metallic green, or yellow, or purple?!
-
Most people seem to prefer the 'normal' colours - dark green / blue / black. The flat colours like red / white / yellow always seem to divide opinion as well as the more unusual metallics (like Ice Grey Violet) - personally I love every colour of Corrado :)
-
Good old VW. It's like they don't even want the business sometimes. Good luck with the company you have lined up - hope they do the job :)

Crikey! Admire your ambition to save what sounds like a serious project. Look forward to seeing some pictures. And welcome to the forum!

Recommendation for basic bluetooth headunit with easy peasy fitting?
Jim replied to dr_mat's topic in ICE 'n' Secure
Friend of mine has a Pioneer unit - basic one from Halfords. I had the one with DAB and he had the one with Bluetooth. Both were rock solid and worked great so I'd happy recommend them. Illumination was quite bright but you could choose the colour (like green to match the rest of the Corrado dash lighting) and also there was a 'dimming' mode which reduced the glare a bit. -
Glad you are persevering with it mate. I know how disheartening engine issues can be after you've put a lot of money into it!
