Thanks guys :salute:

That's what I thought... the plastic washer just keeps turning and when I put a screwdriver into the centre it doesn't catch any screw head in there. I'm thinking maybe the rubber stop will just prise out but I don't want to break it
-
This is the part I'm having trouble with...
-
I've got some soundproffing left over & was looking to put some behind the footwell plastics. I think on the passanger side I need to remove the parcel shelf under the glovebox first, is that right? On the drivers side I have located the carpet grip & the two screws but I don't know how to remove the stop bump underneath the accelerator. There doesn't seem to be a screw holding it on, anyone know how I can take this off?

Those wheels are 8) ... the whole car is looking great man When I was deciding what wheels to buy for my car I took into consideration the time spent cleaning them... that's why I didn't go for the 301's :)
-
I really like those wheels & think that they will suit the C 8)
-
I think that a corrado's design suits tapered spokes (usually 5 spokes) with some kind of a dish. Namely AZEV A or C, RHZW1, Compomotive's etc. The BBS 301, RX etc are just very nice wheels that look good on anything.
-
Wheels look nice :) Did you get Michael Schumacher to fit them?
-
I'll be an old man by the time I get round to that
-
Spent another 3 hours soundproofing the doors & along the sides of the car today. Only thing to do now is the passenger door & I've also decided to do the boot floor (because it's easy to get at :) )
-
That could be awkward alright. I remember reading an old thread where they were discussing all the issues, most of the guys were leaving the boot as it is for emergencies
-
He just climbs in & out the windows  No, I think he's got a solenoid fitted. Like the ones fitted to open the boot in newer cars
-
Gorgeous 8)
-
 soon be time to get that meet sorted :D
-
I didn't know those bonnet bra's needed so much work to fit  Seriously, that looks like a fairly big job you've got going on there or else it's getting an extreme clean :)
-
I've been soundproofing this last couple of days, still only half done. It is taking a lot longer than I thought it would... hopefully it'll be worth all the effort :)
-
Aw man that's bad luck, especially after how much you'd looked forward to getting a VR. at least it's nothing to serious, hope you get her sorted soon p.s. What did you think of the new car on first impressions? (before it broke)
-
Cheers guys, Good to know...a stitch in time & all that. Should I put some silicone in there while I'm at it to seal it all up or just treat it with a rust killer?
-
 it didn't look that bad to me, (just shows you how much I know) So how should we go about doing some preventitive work then?
-
Amazing work Wayne :notworthy: Great when you can do it all yourself... at least you know it's done right :) Did you say that you are going to pipe from the wing vent over to the air intake?

Have I found my perfect 2nd car? Subaru content...
dan replied to Leonard's topic in General Car Chat
I'm considering a People Carrier myself (never enough room with the kids :) ) I like all those cars you've looked but I have to say that subaru is the best choice from what you describe. subaru drivers are the most happy car owners according to many polls. That's a real nice one you got there to 8) If you don't get the Subaru then I'd say go for the A4 Avant -
Some Corrado-Forum banner material there 8)
-
Looks like you did a lot of preparation work for that shoot... very clean :notworthy: Nice to have pics like that to show the Grandchildren :) so how do they do that? Is it just a garage painted white with some carefully placed lights?
-
Fair point, I suppose no matter what mods you make to the car it'll always be a Storm 8)
-
No it does state that they do have to be displayed, a white one on the front & a yellow one at the back. The law also states the size of plate, the font to be used & text height/spacing etc. It is covered pretty comprehensively but it does not state that a plastic plate has to be used.
