right then, finally got my part from demon tweeks. but the part they sent is not a snap off adaptor, which i orginally ordered. its from a different company and is a quick realease kit. wasnt very happy about this as it wasnt what i ordered was not what i got. showed this to my brother, who has a snap off kit and he siad the one i have is much better quality than his and if i didnt wont it he would have it. so that cheered me up. tryed fitting on weds nigtht and didnt have much luck. didnt seem to be enough room to get all the connecters in on the terminals and then bolt it all together. so rang then and they basically told me to bend the terminals so it fits. i was like, great it just over £100 part and your tellin me to bend it and make it fit. thanks! so i had another do at it this morning and "made it fit" this is the part which boltsto the boss ETKA Corrado.pdfadapter part 1.JPG[/attachment:3pi4tas2] this is the part which bolts to the wheel. where the brass terminals are this is a recess where you ment to put connecters and wires, but theres not enough room to get it all in and then but the wheel up to it. stromlaufplan_gamma4.pdfadapter part 2.JPG[/attachment:3pi4tas2] take the wheel off and then your left with this. the boss and the horn. the green wire and a new connacter are the bits your meant to get in the recess of the adapeter in pic 2 Corrado92.pdfboss and horn.JPG[/attachment:3pi4tas2] remove the black wire from the horn conect to a brass terminal on the back of the apadtor in pic one and bolt this to the boss passat climatronic wiring diags.pdfsteering wheel 001.jpg[/attachment:3pi4tas2] bolt to adaptor to the back of the wheel, which was a right load of F##KIN about climatronic wiring-Golf from May 01.pdfsteering wheel 004.jpg[/attachment:3pi4tas2] connect the wheel to the colum. yes i know the momo badge is not central but once ive had it tracked up its comin off and i'll do it right. i was getting pizzed off with it and it WAS going on 2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdfsteering wheel 002.jpg[/attachment:3pi4tas2] and if you were to look into the car this is how it would look once removed steering wheel 003.jpg[/attachment:3pi4tas2] hope this helps anyone who's interested! cheers Si

-
just ordered them from camskills. there only in cumbria, which is not far from me. any probs i could always nip up!
-
yeah i was parked next to it, it did look really clean.
-
this site apprantly didnt do 205 40 16. but those R888 looked a bit rude! :D
-
cheers for the input guys, camskill appears to be the cheapest at the mo. think toyo px4 is gonna be the way foward camskill - £117 mytyres - £128 blackcircles - £136 these sites are offering "price beater!!!" so gonna give 'em a tinkle tomoz and see what i can get off them. cheers again, Si.
-
yeah but due to the size there a bit harder to find. at the mo its got avon zz3 and they seem to be ok. found some toyo's on black circle for just short of £77, i can get some maxxis from work think they were £41 but dont think i wanna get poorer quality ones the thing with pod is there's a new type of 1/4 mile there doing which is basically a roundabout you go round 4 times and i think that may wreck the tyrs abit if i do that

cheers for that jon, i remember on saturday you were saying about changing the fuse on the rheostat, looks like a fairly easy enough job. might have to get a solderin iron to sort it out. anyone, any other bits i can salvage?
-
as per title! got a mk2 golf gti, 4dr, big bumper, non front 1/4 light type in at work. just wondering if there are any bits which i can scavenge of it for the G. i know the heater motor is the same (not the rheostat which i do need but been told i can use). but not sure bout anything else. rear axle? just thinkin bout stuff i may need for the future and get them while i can. cheers Si.

i was pretty sure i was right, i just need some backing up. but spoke to them today and i ordered it any way. i paid £103 posted for the boss and none specific snap off adapter - which is the bit there waiting for a due date but didnt tell me when i ordered it. for the snap off momo specific adapter i think its about £97 but he didnt give me the price just said it was a few pound cheaper. when i get it, its due with them on the 11th, i will pop some pics on and see how get on fitting it, cant see it being to hard. Si.

this is gonna sound really stupid but! i have a momo steering wheel fitted to the G so the momo boss is requried to fit this? when i placed my order from demon tweeks for the snap off kit, over two months ago, they sold me a boss and the snap off adapater, which come as two seperate items. when speaking to the same guy i ordered it off today, and telling him this info above again. he said that i only need the snap off adapter which will sandwich between the the boss and wheel. so what im gettin at is: i have the momo wheel on so i have the boss on, right? so i just need the adapter? i think im right but i have never fitted a aftermarket wheel before i was on the car when i got

just got to prise the wii blighter off!
-
right, just had a quick look at this and to me it looks like the rheostat and heater motor are attatched together, ie the same part? is this correct or can they be seperated? think i managed to find a mk2 golf at work which im hoping this will do??
-
and againn for smaller sidewalls there is less flex? i would really like some wide ass borbet A's but i know some one who had them his mk2 golf and said that it handled really bad with them on. looks against performance eh!
-
are strecthed tyres not any good on corners? didnt the notion start to come through from drift cars with the idea being to stop side walls from flexing whilst changing driection and going round corners??
-
how accurate is this? on the same route to and from work i get completely different readings. on the way to work which is a short motorway journey and then a roads i can get 40 mpg, but on the way back i get something in the region of 28 mpg? i dont differ in the way i drive on either journey
-
this one ive got the outlets are on the side and not top or bottom. dont know how much of a difference that will make? i know its only a pic but is does look a bit smaller than the one im on about. will try and get a pic of it and stick it on, go from there. cheers si.
-
yeah depth. the endtanks are tapered small at bottom the get larger towards the outlets. not to worry, i just thought while its there i would have it. the pipe work is all off, with various different samco hoses including step downs so think i will have these anyway just incase of future use.
