If there is air in the system is it just a case of undoin the bleed nipple on the slave cyliner and pumping the clutch peda

Ok, my gears are quite sloppy as well. There is a lot of side to side movement when any gear is selected but the circlip is in place....any ideas? Cheers Tom

Is there a limit on the power that you can run with these adaptors? Someone told me that anything over 200 bhp is risky.........or is that just a myth? Cheers Tom

Don't replace the clutch, VW always say that. I had the same problem with my VR6 golf a few years back. They were so quick to tell me that it was the clutch. I spent £500 getting this done and as soon as i reversed out of the parking bay i knew it hadn't made any difference. I had my cables adjusted by a VW specialist which sorted it out a treat!

Personally i would fit side skirts just to continue the depth all the way around. I have seen corrados with rs bumpers, skirts and standard rear bumbers and they look good. Having said that i don't think Henny has side skirts (correct me if i'm wrong??) and his looks good..... How is the late bumper different from the early one?

I did mine on my golf G60, it came up ok but not quite a show standard. I used as wire wool to start with, which took a long time. You can buy attachments to go into a drill. I then used an electical contact cleaning block then finally a shed load of polish and more hard work. Sorry if thats not much help as its pretyy much what you said anyway... Tom

Really, that sounds pretty mad. I would love to see the internals of the charger on the move!!! Look forward to seeing the pics mate!
-
It does sound good, i cannot wait to fit a smaller pulley!!!

They aren't well common over here but i think G-werks do them (correct me if i'm wrong). I have one on my car which looks pretty much the same as yours....you did well there mate!

£2000 for a G60?? Where has he got that figure from? I doubt you will find a G60 for that money if you want to replace it like for like. When my missus wrote of my Audi they offered me peanuts for it but i sent them adverts from the trader of similar cars to mine with realistic prices. They increased their offer by £800. Keep on at them until you get what you think the car is worth. I would have thought that you should get at least £2500 for it provided there is nothing majorly wrong with it!

I reckon i might have the same trouble. My clutch has been in for 20k miles now. I don't have a fluid leak but the clutch pedal seems spongy (if that makes sense). Is it easy to bleed the system? Is it just a case of undo the bleed nipple and pressing the pedal (similar to brakes?)

......hurries home to check mine!!!
-
Is the car still running ok? Don't mean to sound patronising but have you got oil?
-
Cheers chaps, i'd better do mine asap then. Good job the car is off road fro a bit then!
-
Pants, i have this mod done (alrady done when i bought the car) and this is the first i have heard about doing this!!! Is it easy to do or essential for that matter?
-
Don't know a lot about them to be honest, other than what i have read on the website. You are right though, they do sound awesome - i downloaded a video of some lad in a G60 booting it down the road!!! Thats a fair bit of power you are running there, you going to any shows this year?
-
Definately up for a set of those!!! Cheers "red=fast"
-
Yeah, tell me about it mate, i reckon driving my car on the motorway is like what it would have been in a world war 2 bomber - so loud!! Do you reckon i could just get a new silencer from powerflow rather than replace the whole lot?
-
I'm up for getting one of those
-
I want to quieten mine down, it has a powerflow exhaust and its too loud for me!!
-
Count me in too please chief!

On my G60 golf i used the green one. I honestly can't see why the golfs and corrado's would be different (someone may correct me!). Sureley the main dealers wouldn't have given you bad info?!
