OK sorted I'll get the lad on with it next week and hopefully we will see it done in the next week It's hard to get it from the offices down to the lads in the pacer room and then to me as I'm away in block weeks with my job so its a slow process

Right sorry for the delay Need some info off you guys if you can I have a new insert finally! The first two sets of holders I bought was to large in width to fit nicely in to the insert I'm making It would have fit but the left and right edges would have had to be trimmed a little at to me wouldn't have been good enough, that being said it would have held a Starbucks cup nicely and most if not all of the other coffee cups from the likes of cafe Nero, McDonald's and Greggs The new holder is a bit thinner so fits nice in to the template and doesn't need to be trimmed (bodged) to fit and a can of coke fits perfect as will a brittle of coke I can make both but tbh in my opinion the later smaller version will look much better Would you guys be happy with the smaller version One thing I did think is that iv stopped using throw away cups now and just have one reusable cup, so what I was thinking is I could find / source a reusable type cup that would fit that holder or I can leave that bit to you and you could buy the cup that suits you best Let me know Soon as I get some feed back It shouldn't take long to get them sorted out

Yes but no in short The template is drawn up but the cup holder insert I ordered was to large for the gap it has to fit in so I'm currently sourcing a new one Apart from that iv been fairly busy with work the last few months so just need to find the time to do the last bits Iv not forgot though and will update when it's ready

a test of motivation !! i rebuilt my full car in a singal garage with no electric, no facilities and no heat took me a year not stop and no going out but it got done and its stayed pretty mint since keep up the good work and you will soon be enjoying it again

id be up for it and a power run i know of a few others to that dont use the forum alot

hi mate still waiting on my guy in the office to draw it up for the pacer he has scanned it in but hes doing it in his own time so i cant nag him to much also had the holders delivered and they are ever so slightly to big so im now trying to find an alternative ill keep everyone updated once they are done

i think so mate , i did some testing with a digital temp gun and the coil pack was cooler each time with the spacer installed considering they break so often ,judging by how many bad running threads you see due to coilpack failure (they always crack ) and wanted threads for second hand coilpacks id say this wasnt a bad investement considering the price of a good quality new one

its the ht leads that would need to be made longer and in my opinion would make it look a bit scruffy another thing that i thought of was making something to relocate but people like parts to be in the standard place that vw put them the plate only takes 10 mins to fit and drops the temps of the coilpack so works really well and as for the eearh there is no problems at all it still works perfectly and iv been runni g on on my supercharged car for the last few months

updated add - second batch now available for some people that missed out on the first or didnt see the post , iv kept the origional add below Hi all i hope this is ok to post on here after owning my vr for 7 years and going through three coil packs i thought id adapt the same idea as my phenolic inlet manifold gasket to the coil pack to help protect it and prolong the life of it iv had the idea for a while and decided to get this sorted as there are non available to buy in the uk its a 6mm pacer cut plate with four new allen head bolts to fit directly to the car , it sits on the side of the engine and in between the coil pack to stop the metal to metal contacting and transfaring heat which in return after time is what makes them crack causing misfires and bad running iv already sold a few but have about nine left but could get some more done if there is demand for them id like 25 pounds for one posted coil packs are pretty expensive these days for a decent one and if your like me then your probably sick of them cracking you can pm me on messenger if you would like one or have any questions im having problems with loading pictures to the forum and i cant seem to find the corrado forum on tapa talk so if you would like pics i can send them via whats app or messenger no problem my number is 07980690184 message anytime im up most of the day and night

no problem ill be sorting a template this weekend so i can get it drawn in cad

mainly black but i could find a vinyl to cover the top to match the car ill get these drawn up and find a suitable holder for most cans and bottles / fast food cups bare with me and ill update the thread when iv sorted them out

bit of a late reply here and a thread resurection !! i remember a couple of people asking me about the cup holders and if i could make a few but i got side tracked and never got round to it after that im in a position again to get something put together if there is any demand for them i know alot of you alreaou have them as i sold one of my origionals to a member who took my idea and sold them instead !! if you are interested then let me know on here or facebook if we are friends sorry about the year delay

This might sound daft but check the two green nipples that are on the brake booster line on the right hand side of the engine , there down near the aux water pump area

Yea id get it mapped mate just so your getting as much power out as you can Mine run 230 nasp but that was with 268 cams, mk4 headgasket, amd big pirt throttle and the schrick along with a bmc and techtonics 2.5inch exhaust I think mapping is 450 from stealth these days , but you get what you pay for , that was from a couple of months ago when i had the charger mapped up

The 3.68 final drive gives me a cruising speed of around 3200 rpm , great mod though its certainly alive You can fit the tdi 5th wich will bring you under 3000rpm again and as for a lightend flywheel iv not had no problems in the last four years of running mine

I think you can just take the clocks out and apart and remove the rings around the dials and then remove the faces If you manage to do this job and you can keep the white dials in good condition id be interested in buying them Let me know

Iv just started coming on a bit again and agree the build threads are better here and the nicer cars seem to be on here too I still update my thread to keep a diary of it all ! Most of the pics have gone from it god knows why which is dissapointing Face book is good for quick access and quick replys though
