  1. I use 996.351.425 and 996.351.426 996 / Boxster S calipers with 305mm Seat Ibiza Cupra R discs, Creation Motorsport mounts and HEL hoses. Despite the other comments the finish on my Creation mounts is fine. Be aware that on the Boxster these calipers run a 318mm disc so in my setup there is a little pad overhang. As already stated be careful that you don't buy rears. As to whether they clear D90's sorry no idea....
  2. Diagnosing noises remotely is a big challenge. If it was my car i'd be inclined to drop the supercharger drive belt and start the engine to check again. If the noise remains, as Jamo suggests, drop the sump and check rod end #4. BTW - Did you get a stethoscope? They are an invaluable tool when tracking down the source of noises.

    Rear bumper bolts

There is. I welded nuts onto the top and undid with a socket.

    Rear bumper bolts

Despite soaking in plusgas 2 of the 4 bolts sheared off on the car I broke for parts last year. Needed a little persuasion but the bumper came off.
  5. I have a spare if you need one. PM me if interested.
  6. Thanks for the reply Kevin. I have a pair of Mercedes Charge Cooler from a M275 V12 Twin Turbo. Given this engine in stock tune runs 600bhp and 22 psi of boost I figured 1 would be more than adequate for a mildly tuned G60. I can't fit the Merc rad so am looking at various other options pref. something stock I can buy rather than have made.
  7. I had a similar sounding rattle on my G60 which like yours was not present at idle. Mine was the idler pulley bearing. If you don't have one i'd advice investing in a stethoscope. Makes locating the source of a rattle much easier.
  8. Is anybody running a custom charge cooler (either G60 or forced induction VR)and have any recommendations for the optimum rad size based on experience? (Other than bigger is better). I am looking to replace the stock Intercooler on my G60 with a charge cooler.
  9. Not had a pair side by side to be able see if there is a difference. I have a pair of arch liners from a 92 G60 if you are stuck.
  10. Sorry i'm not going to be much help here. I remember the bearing in the bottom housing being a pig to get out. Don't recall what I did with the Aux shaft bearing it's that long ago. I also don't recall the seals being different colours but you're right about the springs. I have some spares if you need one.
  11. I'd try OCD in Doncaster or JMR in Littlehampton. Not within your 75 mile range admittedly but people with G60 knowledge are getting a bit thin on the ground these days. Servicing yourself is feasible. Just depends on tools / capability. It's been a long time since I last did one and recall a couple of bearings in the charger that where difficult to get out. The rest, if you are methodical, is not hugely challenging.
  12. Dazz, Send some pics of the connectors or details of wires you are after and i should be able to help you out. Mark
  13. I probably have a spare silencer. Let me know if you are interested.
  14. Check the classifieds. I have a 68mm steel pulley + PSD Eprom or a 65 Alloy + GWerks Eprom for sale.
  15. Any G60 owners interested in the 65 or 68mm pulley and chips?
  16. Do you know if the G60's fit over the BBS RZ alloy without a spacer?
  17. The S2 Avant is much heavier than the Corrado. Mine felt very under braked with a poor pedal feel with the G60's up front. The upgrade to 314mm A8 discs and 996 Brembo monoblocks was night vs day; hence my reluctance to spend on the G60 setup.
  18. I have been struggling with this decision for some time too. I have Brembos but want to keep the G60 BBS alloy. I've owned and driven Audi S2's & UR Quattros that use the G60 caliper and the brakes are not great. I'm not overly convinced that the G60 caliper is a good compromise.
  19. only the slam panel. I scrapped the car 6 months ago.
  20. Before condemning it i'd check it's free to move. There are few threads on this topic if you search.
  21. The compensator adjusts the pressure to the rear calipers to account for additional weight in the car. Look under your passenger wheel; you will see it attached between the rear beam and mount. Most are seized!
