Had to replace my window regulators and the little white plastic bushings are pretty shot and not holding the window, I know the part number 535837437 shows that it was discontinued in 2010, is there anywhere they can still be bought? I have the I pro style mechanisms, so if there's some other option I'm happy to be enlightened!

What parts for the corrado would you like in Carbon Fibre?
stretch. replied to Graphite's topic in Group Buy Feelers
Hi All, I'm the other 'rado nut in this venture, I do understand what you're saying in that by being another supplier for the same part we are essentially halving our ideal target market, but that isn't the aim of the game at all with this. This started off the back of a doughnut crazed rant from both myself and Troy, in where we grumbled about the availability of Corrado parts in the UK. The intention was never to see what was already being produced and try and steal their market share at all or anything even along that vein. We're going into this venture because we both love our Cars, and appreciate that parts are getting rarer and rarer for it. Along the way we might end up producing the same part as another company, but one thing I always think is that competition is the mother of innovation. In a lot of these cases we're going to be producing these parts because we need a replacement ourselves or there's a big enough want for us to create one. Ideally we want to be able to create pretty much every piece of trim on a Corrado! Bumpers, Grills, Grab Handles, Bonnets, sunroof trims and so on. It's not about grabbing 100% of the market, but doing something to keep these cars on the road at the end of the day. While our main target base is going to be for the 'Rado (and who can blame us!) we will hopefully be able to expand on to other vehicle and bigger, more amazing pieces! We're going to be trialling a few pieces in the near future, so you could all see some further development on this! Alistair, -
N-AHS (I think...) Black VR6(I think), parked outside comet at the crown point retail park in leeds, spotter at about 4:45pm, looked nice :)

Had a guy at the local shell offer to buy it off me the other day, And another one that happened to me last nigh, not entierley sure it's my chuftie per se, but somebody left a very flattering corrado related note while I was at my friends the other day, complete with mobile number! I think that,s a winner :-)

Foam pads/inflatable roofrack and some rope might be the best bet...

That's what I have done for the time being, not ideal as I can't get proper tension on the belt and I'm still getting some squeels. The adjuster is an m8 thread bolt with an eyelet on top with an M8 thread for another bolt so it foms a kind of T set up where the lower bolt is used to pull the pas pump down to add tension.
-
For anyone in future who has the same issue the correct part number is: 035 145 541 listed as "Eye Bolt" £10.41+vat in 2003 also need N 022 146 4 - eye bolt nut, self locking N 040 237 1 - tensioning bolt Both of which are M8 fitment, listed as being 55mm as standard bolt. http://www.wagenstad.com is much easier than vag cat, which is how I managed to find them. Just need to physically find them now.
-
For some reason or other, a previous owner decided he wanted only 1 bolt to secure the pas pump to the block, no tensioner, no big bolt, just a 1" m8 bolt. To cut a long story short, I've just changed the belts and there's no longer enough tension to stop the lovely squeel-like-a-piggy noise when hoiking the car around. VW are telling me the tensioner bolt is an obselete part but gave me the number as there's a handful in stock, they gave: 027903555 which when I've looked, looks like it's potentially for an ABF engine, which looks to have a different pas setup. VAGCAT gives me bugger all answers and I can't really find any detailed help on this (as, let's be honest, not many numpties decide to remove the adjusters...) anyone able to shed any light for me? Or offer me a suitable alternative? Engine is a 1.8 16v KR.

Hey mate, I'm after the alternator + the big holding bolt, and the adjuster and holding bolts for the pas if its the same as the 1.8,
-
Had my alternator fail spectacularly the other day, suspect the fan bit shattered and took one half of the mount clean off. Anyways I was wondering if any other vag models are a straight swap in? Don't want my car off the road too long as it's a daily! Any help appreciated.
-
The alternator still available?
-
Broke down... alternator mounting sheared.

First aid kit should be under the hump in the rear bench (if you have the humped bench..) warning triangle is in the middle seat back, access is via a zip on top. Hope this helps!

The owner quite possibly pushed for it to be written off. I wonder what kind of accident would cause damage there? Looks as though it's a collision with a cyclist of some sort. At best though it looks like it needs 2 new skins, 2 new door trims, partial a piller skin (which looks to come as part of the rear quarter) new laminated glass, new mirror, paintwork, door handle. All of that + paint at a reputable bodyshop, not to mention you're probably looking at £150+ for a mirror alone for one of these, can't imagine the laminated/insulated glass is cheap either!

Fitted some new foglights, swore at the intermittent clutch grumble... contemplated spending more money...

insurance is up soon !how much have the prices gone up ?
stretch. replied to robrado974's topic in Insurance
You'd all **** your pants if you saw the cost of my insurance. I'm being absolutely shafted after some twonk ran a red and took out my last car, liability is still in dispute(he didn't see the red light because he was on his phone so it must have been green!) and I'm refusing to settle. I can get insured on a tidy daewoo matiz for about 3.5k. -
I know I get around 33 - 34 mpg on an 80mpg cruise, oil temp steady 97 degrees, coolant says 70... but I'll beef hooked if I trust that gauge! Early 16v, had it up to 40+ doing a 70mph cruise in warm weather.
