  1. LOL! Hilarious, that's the best  :D I can't top that.
  2. http://www.mtv.co.uk/mtv.co.uk/pimpmyride/game/PimpMyRide.jhtml Check out mine! :D
  3. A lot of people here seem to praise the Toad, me included. I have the Ai606 and have had no problems so far, its worth getting the tilt & shock sensor too. I'm not sure what the T2 suffix on yours means though, perhaps its the latest model no.?
  4. I don't know how similar the heater arrangement is to a Mk2 Golf, but my old one had this problem ALL the time. The set of cogs under the dash kept slipping a tooth or two, thus messing up the flap control. Drove me mad... worth checking out though.
  5. I'm afraid I'm not too keen on the exterior styling of the C, but I'm loving the blingness of your engine bay! 8) I want mine to look that polished. Out of curiosity, i've noticed you've got a battery cover, what are the benefits?
  6. Heard my dad's 5.7 litre V8 Corvette last time I popped over to the states. My god! sounds lovely... 8) (exhasust was perhaps a tad loud though, it overpowered the sound of the engine when you're in the cabin... and i know which i'd prefer to hear..)
  7. I thought I'd read somewhere that Sony had come to their senses and started allowing their latest players to support mp3 format?

A little more specific here.. Are we talking the traditional cup mongrel-leaved 'builders tea'? Or the more refined and fragrant 'Earl Grey'? And is loose tea being too much of a ponce? And should I use a pot to brew??! :?
  9. I love your car! The leather goes so well with the paintwork. Looks very classy 8)
  10. I've always loved your C, G60Dan. It looks so good 8) Out of my window I can see a pastoral visage of patch-worked fields, amber-hued trees and luscious, green, rolling hills... If I look closer I can see a herd of cows nearby.. they're all standing up, which means its not going to rain.
  11. My grandmother once told me that toothpaste was good at removing sratches from watch-faces; after all, its mildly abrasive for your teeth, so why not glass? One day I gave it a go... Needless to say it didn't work, but my watch did smell minty-fresh for several weeks.
  12. Thanks for the reply Kev! I'll endeavour to get a new cable fitted in the next couple of weeks.
  13. Okay, my dashpot plunger thingy seems ok, its not visibly sticking. I'm gonna go with a new throttle cable i think. It seems the obvious repair choice given the cost. So how do I set the new cable up? How much tension does it need? How immediate should the throttle response be? At the moment there's probably a good few millimeters of pedal-press before anything happens.. Cheers for the advice!
  14. Yes, both mine rattled when I first bought it. There's a screw inside holding it together, it had just come loose. Simply prise the outer-knob off (can be tricky), tighten the screw inside, add another locking washer if you like, pop the top back on and viola, no rattles. turbomagikz, nice looking car! 8) I've always been fond of white because of the way the black trim stands out. Like the wheels too.
  15. Dinkus, did take any photos of the procedure? I wouldn't mind knowing how to do mine, and it could be one to add to the 'how-to' database?
  16. Sticky throttle cable? Hmmm.... When I'm crawling along in a queue at low speed, (say in first or second gear, 1.5-2k revs), and I gently lift off the throttle, the car will not doing anything for half a sec then suddenly lurch dramatically and slow down. Sometimes its the same if I push the pedal down to accelerate. Do you think that's another symptom of a sticky throttle cable? Do yours do this at all, metman and davestorm?
  17. Stick an chamois leather in the glove box, or keep a leather-jacket in the car, that helps diffuse a nice leathery smell  My drivers-side electric mirror has intermittent problems, but its at the interior switch end of things. Maybe the first port of call for problem solving.
  18. Last time I checked it was on the top of the master cylinder, at the far end towards the front of the car. Quite annoying to get to, it helps if you unclip the airbox and lift it up slightly.
  19. Funny you mention it! I've noticed this too, but I put it down to sloppy gear changes on my part. Its only a subtle rise, as you say, sometimes not even a rise but I feel the revs should be dropping a tad quicker.... Maybe its just the Corrado style... I can't remember back to the others I test drove, and its certainly going to be a lot different than my old MKII Driver, so maybe I should just get used to it.
  20. Wow, very clean example! Looks well treated, I like it 8)
  21. Ha! You too? I find I slide across the seat on tight corners... Need to eat more lard..
  22. Those red tinted rear lights are excellent 8) I've also got a black C, and I've been umming and ahhing over whether I should tint mine black or red... I thought a black look may blend with the bodywork quite nicely, but your red ones look well cool. How did you do them? And how easy was it?
  23. I'm pretty tall (6'2") with long legs, and have similar problems to you ChrisP. On the whole I find the (non-Recaro) leathers in my C very comfortable, but its the lack of support under the knee/thigh area that becomes an issue on long journeys. I have my seat almost all the way back and on the lowest setting, yet I could still do with a little more under-leg support. Perhaps just an extra 1/2 inch lift on the front of the seat is all it would need.. Let me know if you manage to modify your seats, I'd be interested to know how. But hey! They're a world away from the concrete-slabs I had in the MkII. Those used to cripple me within an hour
  24. The clutch slave-cylinder perhaps? It could be leaking. I vaguely remember reading some other posts about it. Someone else may be able to tell you more, I've not had much experience with it.
  25. Haha, that made me laugh :) Sorry to hear about the attempted break-in though Bally, that sucks... :(
