I have a picture of my old Golf's odometer saying 123,456. Had to pull over onto the motorway hardshoulder to grab that one :) Will have to see if I can find it.

Its a bit of a gay-looking dance to be honest. If the Corrado was a transformer it'd be blowing s*** up and stomping on things :)

Wow! That's in great condition, the paintwork is so shiny :) and only 45k on the clock 8) Nice one!

I uprated my xmas tree lights with one! Highly recommended! :)

There's a guide on the how-to website that should help you! 8)

I think its something to do with the mechanism skipping cog-teeth behind the dash somewhere. Happened with annoying regularity on my Golf. You've got a late-spec interior though, so it may not be applicable... My golf one had left-right slidey knobs.

Dark blue K-reg on the way through Paignton this morning, couldn't grab the model, think it was a vr6 tho. -
Unrelated, but golddust, I love your seats 8) They're totally outragious, but the yellow and black rocks! :D

am i doing the right thing selling my vr6

As other people have said its not just about performance and handling.... I got a thumbs-up from some random guy in a Peugeot yesterday, I doubt I'd ever get that in an S3, its one of the things that makes owning a Corrado so rewarding :) (despite the constant stream of repairs...) -
I have a similar problem, apart from its far worse when the car is cold. Most noticable between 1-2k rpm when decelerating, goes away when clutch depressed. Haven't figured it out, but if it involves replacing clutch parts I'm going to try and forget about it for the time being :( vr6paul, what's the gearbox treatment you're going to use? (The position of the drain/refil plugs can be found on the how-to site.)

Purple N-reg VR6 on the M6 to Birmingham yesterday afternoon. You followed me for a while and when you overtook I gave you a little flash. Also got a thumbs-up from a guy in Peugeot later that day. Much respect :D

Haha :D That made me laugh. Is Audi really the dark side though? They're part of the same group... -
I see way more VR6's on the road then G60's (not that I see many Corrado's, but when I do, they're VR's). Could it just be because G60's are older and therefore fewer are around?

Owing to an incident last night with the infamous corrado handbrake and a metal post, i know have a large dent in my near-side wing. Gutted :( Does anyone know of a decent body shop in the Exeter/Torquay/Newton Abbot area? I know its a long shot as there aren't many people from the forum this way, but I thought i would ask, it can't hurt. Any reponses appreciated!

dr_mat, the ground in the carpark here is perfectly flat, i can assure you, and its something i noticed in the driveway at home first. Its definitely the car, the difference looks too much to be a tiny imperfection in ground level. Tyres are all fine, they're evenly worn and pressured. The rear is actually lower on the nearside, so its not the fuel tank. So that leaves spring/shocks, or a chassis problem. Can I adjust the suspension to compensate? Or would that unadvisable?

I've noticed that the ride-height is slightly difference on each wheel! It started when I looked at my C headon and realised the front leant down on the drivers-side a bit, so I checked each wheel against its opposite to make sure i wasn't imagining things... I'm not! The front-drivers and rear-passenger are about 8-10mm lower than their opposite wheels. Something's not right.. What could have caused this? Its not something like a twisted chassis? Can that happen? Its on Koni coilovers, originally bought by the previous owner and fitted at TSR about 2 years ago. Could these have got out of adjustment or something? And if so, why unevenly? The mounts look ok, well, even on each side at least. Any ideas appreciated! Thanks.

How come? Should I worry about not carrying jump-leeds around with me in that case?

I have a similar problem. But there's something I've noticed just recently... If I rest my hand gently on the gear-knob while driving along I can feel a rhythmical vibration come and go, its very light, but pulsates on and off about every second. Do you have this mariovr6, i wonder if its related to mounts or something...? I've tried adjusting the cable linkage thing at the box end, but couldn't get it to make a difference. (Don't think i made a good job of it tbh..)

Ugh, the exact same thing happened to my Golf. I know how it feels. Really sorry to hear about it. The worst bit is having all that pent-up anger and no-one to direct it at...

Yeah, I noticed that the logo was just stuck-on when I almost sucked it up the hoover! A bit poor really.

I once saw a cat get run over. I'll never forget the sickening 'crack' as the wheel broke its rib-cage. The cat got up and limped off, probably to die somewhere, and I couldn't stop feeling :pukeright: all day, the sound kept coming back to haunt me.

Arrived today! They look great :) I can't wait to get 'em fitted. Hope it stays dry this weekend!

Dinkus, you have PM.

Well, driving it again this morning didn't clarify the situation much, i'm still unsure whether its the gearbox or clutch making the noise. It all but dissappears after about 5 minutes of driving, save perhaps the tiniest of whines around 1-2k rpm when decelrating, but its hardly noticable... Assuming something is wrong with either the release bearing and/or synchos, how long can I get away with ignoring it before something needs to be done? I guess neither will be cheap, so I'd like to leave it till next year if poss!

Those rear arches remind me of the batmobile...
