  1. Glad it seems to be sorted now. Feel bad for the guy who bought them though, I'm assuming he had no idea they were stolen. I guess in some way its good for him that he knows they are now, rather than police tracing him down or something and potentially him getting in bother for possession of stolen goods
  2. My tailpipe is covered in soot now, and it does smell a bit rich when booting it. Also the exhaust pops quite a bit (not loudly though) on overrun, would this suggest it's running rich too, with excess fuel being burnt in the exhaust?
  3. I got 30 mpg from Sheffield to Nottingham and back yesterday, that was at 70 on the M1, but included all the driving through town to get to the motorway. On a drive down to the shops I might get 15-25ish depending on what the traffic is like and if there's lots of stopping and starting. I reckon if I sat at 60 though on the M1 it'd even out in the high 30s
  4. Get in, realise I've forgotten something... go get that. Turn the engine on and pray the oil pressure light goes out, open sunroof fully, unless it's raining then it's tilted. Pray I make it back home without the oil pressure light coming on or something going wrong
  5. have you measured your brembos for clearance yet? how you finding the braking with them :norty:[/quote:1wu3x27v] Well the strange thing is I've got virtually micrometres of clearance on one side, then at least 2mm on the other... not sure why that is  I made a mate nearly choke on his tongue when giving a demo of their stopping power... and on the tight twisty roads I've had the back step out a few times when turning under heavy braking, nothing I couldn't control though, but shows just how light the back gets when braking with the 4 pots on. I'm probably gonna be going down to the Compomotive factory (one of my mates works opposite there pretty much and knows Chris/Christian there) so they'll measure it all up for me and work out the optimum offset for spacing and stance etc
  6. That looks a lot more of a direct route than mine  What I really need to do is get it on some ramps and get some pictures and get a good look under mine myself
  7. I've not looked at it in detail, but I did notice when looking under the car that the centre silencer on my Milltek system is huge, and there's quite a lot of corners and piping for the exhaust gases to go round. Would removing the centre silencer (and replacing it with a straight stainless steel tube of the same bore) improve the flow of the system, and therefore improve the performance. I know it'd make it louder, but hopefully not too loud
  8. 280 x 20mm... That sounds very thin for a brake disc imo... I'd want at least 25mm, although depending on how hard you're pushing it, 30 or more might be better for reducing the overheating

Haha it's not an original idea by any means, I can't claim to be an influence

 Wasn't it me who suggested to do that? :notworthy:
  11. My friend saw it at the weekend and she said she was disappointed... overhyped apparently.
  12. 1248cc diesel Vauxhall Corsa... it did almost as many mpg as it had bhp Got it as a first car, when I was 18, with 0 ncb, and doing 20,000 miles in that first year of owning it. I've only done 4,000 or so in the last year so having a diesel hasn't really paid off that much Got a progress thread on the Corsa-C|UK forum if you're interested (don't think you need to register to see threads) - http://www.corsa-c.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?261193 was just interested as you said you were putting it back to standard to sell it, and also because you're going so all out on the mods for the new purchase. was intrigued to know what it was following! It was following 2 years of sod-all power, and I missed filling the car up... only had to do it once a week most of the time with the derv I did the cosmetic enhancements (Irmscher stuff, which is the Vauxhall-licenced styling products, so suited the car as if it was out the factory like that) and then focused on the handling, but not power. Now I want power & handling more than looks... cos the Rado already looks sweet :D

  14. I'm just splitting my old car (selling the mods and returning it back to standard) and that went really well for the first two weeks... sold loads of stuff... but now I'm having trouble selling the rest of the stuff. And that's just selling mods, not selling engine/electric/body parts etc. Would be a shame to have another one broken for parts, but I would probably come get a few things of you if you did decide to
  15. I think even I could lift that much! It was my dad who knocked me off the chair... What is it with dads? when my sister was about 2, she was on her bike/trike thing, and my dad was pulling her along on it, pulled her straight into a pothole, she came over the handlebars and knocked two teeth out  Then around the same age, he was swinging her round in circles by her arms and dislocated her shoulders :\ She has extremely elastic ligaments, it's a genetic trait which unfortunately I have too, but not quite as bad as her

Same crap bands for a second time, just further North. I remember the days when Reading was good! The year after I went they had Daphne and Celests!! :gag:
  17. I've only been on a bike three times and broke more bones than I can remember... nearly all were sports injuries :\

Of course someone can like a mix of all genres, I just haven't come across many people who like Eminem and metal. :) I like some stuff other than metal myself, though metal does form 90% of my collection. And Bowling For Soup is an odd one, more like a Reading band than a Download one... Leeds > Reading

Now you're talking, Maiden rule! Fave song - Phantom of the Opera. No contest. Best album is a tossup between Seventh Son and Powerslave.[/quote:38wtyxx7] I prefer Fear Of The Dark, when they did that at Download, the atmosphere was unreal... best individual song I've ever seen live... although Muse at Leeds 06 were the best whole performance live [youtube:38wtyxx7]fUh0dPwaZoQ[/youtube:38wtyxx7] You were at Download and you like Eminem? Eclectic! Rob's not scary! And hells yeah I like the Maiden, saw em live in Cardiff a little while ago. Bowling For Soup played Download in 07 too  I don't think there's a single genre of music where there's not at least a few songs I like Why can't someone like metal, dance/trance, rap, r'n'b, jazz & blues, classical and all the other genres?

Geez, that will take a while! So I'll just pull out some of the 'highlights': Metallica, Machine Head, Fear Factory, Pitchshifter, Within Temptation, Evanescence, White/Rob Zombie, Carfax Abbey you get the idea  Not necessarily my first choice to listen to... but Master of Puppets is one of the greatest albums of all time imo Rob Flynn walked past me at Download '07 too and he is bloody scary up close... fan of Iron Maiden?

Rarely? Hmmm, you obviously not seen my CD collection then  Whats in your collection? May not all be to my taste, but I'm sure I'll appreciate it
