If you get hit, you claim off the car/driver that hit you, regardless of cause/fault. So the guy infront, will claim of his dad... in turn... his dads insurance will claim those costs, and repair costs to his own car, off the insurance of the guy who hit him. In a big rear ender where say 5 cars all get bumped... the front car (1) claims of the car behind (2), which claims the cost to repair 1 & 2 off car 3. Car 3 claims those costs off car 4, then car 5 eventually is liable for the COSTS of all the cars damaged, but not liable for the repair, only the reclaimed costs. At least that's what I understand of it all

No Haynes manual for the Corrado. There's the Bentley manual, but that's a lot bigger and more detailed (and more expensive) than Haynes. Can't confirm anything about using Haynes manuals from other A2/B3 platform cars

Yeah, there was a white Polo GT parked behind me today. There's also another white Polo parked inside the flats too. Must be a dub hotspot... Once the garage is freed up, there may be another local Corrado... :D[/quote:1j7s4g62] One (the L-reg with Compomotive MO5s) is my friends and it's actually a G40 conversion... soon to be turbo'd The other (a K-reg with a GT badge) is his missus' (cute isn't it... his n hers matching cars) which is just a 1.0 at the moment, but has a stage-2 G40 engine to go in, which we'll be fitting sometime in the near future. And then there's the god awful asbo-loud blue fiat bravo which my mate was gonna sell and still hasn't

Also forgot to mention I saw one on Halifax Road in Sheffield, (Penistone Road, past Hillsborough then up the hill), yesterday evening... turning right just before the 40 mph speed cameras. I drove past behind you so might not have seen me, but gave a beep-beep just incase Not sure if it's a member or not, just know it was a Corrado (first one I've seen on the road since getting mine, and only the 4th one I've seen actually moving all year, excluding the ones I viewed).

There's the one parked on Graham Road, I think that one is Kip's mate. I live opposite the park though... usually it's parked bumper-to-bumper with my half-stripped black Vauxhall Corsa that I'm selling soon. Think it's mine you've probably seen, at least these last two weeks anyway. K-reg is mine I've seen that a few times, it was my mate who pointed it out to me after I said I'd never noticed it... see it all the time on Graham Road now Yeah I've seen your Mk2 parked there a bit recently... thought at first it might have been my mates, as he said a few weeks back he was looking at getting a Mk2 GTi valver. You noticed the white Mk2 Polo coupe a lot too?

And an Xbox 360! :) Which is, actually, grey plastic... so the point still stands ;) at least that didn't go on the roof :)

 it's a strange film isn't it...

You'd then unbalance the wheel... not something you really wanna be doing.

Watched Bourne Identity last night on ITV HD... 9/10 Then Scary Movie 2... 8/10 purely for the hilarity
-
good lad, meet you down there then!![/quote:1fme4b1u] James said they'll probably be shut between 1-2, but if I get down for soon after 11ish which is what I was planning, that shouldn't be a problem.
-
Just spoken to James on the phone, confirmed I'm going down next friday, to see the different colours, check the caliper clearance and pay deposit
-
The caps were my mates, who had a bigger bore on his for some reason... so he had to use Team Dynamics caps, carbon fibre ones and sold me these. If they don't fit, I'll sell them on, and should make back all the cost of the silver ones
-
Aye, and guess which epic race track happens to be on the route...

I'm hoping it's just the overfuelling too. What I can't work out is why it's not smoking (visibly) when the oil is warmer than about 80 degrees, would have thought if it was piston rings, it'd be smoking consistently, or more when the oil is hot and thinner. After these Comps, the remap is top of the list now
-
This just gets better and better. I've kept the blue alloy centre caps from my old set, hopefully they're the same centre bore... if not, I'll get silver ones painted the same blue when I get brake calipers done
-
I don't... I want two longitudinally mounted VRs in mine... (5.8 WR12 anyone )
-
Would a custom-made shallow sump be ok with the standard pump, or would it need different oil pump in the sump?
-
Yeah from what I understand, we're just waiting for all 9 on the list to pay their deposit, then they'll start making them. I'm gonna be paying mine next friday, when I go down to Comp, but I'll be speaking to James before then, hopefully tomorrow

Is that at the same price as a standard painted finish, or will they offer slight discount if they're unpainted
-
What size are Kev's AP brakes?
-
Thanks Jon, about 10 mins or so with a socket set and you'll have them changed over!! Ian. Received mine today too... big thanks :)

Anyone in or near Sheffield with VAG-COM and a 2x2 adaptor? My ABS light is on, think it's a sensor but needs reading. I don't mind travelling as long as it's not too far
-
ABS light's on... it's the EDL not the ABS... I think...

Is there a list on here of people with VAGCOM equipment?
