Erny, can you get these tools from places like Halfrauds or your local autospares place? I never got why the throttle bodies have coolant pipes going to them... would have thought they're most likely to freeze overnight in winter, in which case cold coolant isn't going to do squat!?! They're not like carbs where you get a big pressure drop, so shouldn't ever get that cold, especially when the engines so hot. I know what you mean about white engine bays, my mate has a MkII polo with a G40 in and it is just filthy, dirt, dust, oil, next time he takes the engine out I'm gonna tell him to get the Karcher in there.

But if he heard the mouse he'd know roughly what direction it was from him, he held the food out and said the mouse would have to come to him. Other clues were when the blind woman brought him the food, and she said he'd have to get it off her or say something (so she knew where he was), and he scratched his shirt, and the fact he could smell the ambushers

+1 Seven pounds and pursuit of happyness were great films, no longer the actor he was in the 90s, but a serious leading actor
-
Isn't it stupidly expensive though? I wouldn't mind paying the bit extra to use Ronnie 99 instead of 95, but I thought BP 102 was for extreme performance and track cars, so they were charging £2/litre or something

I'm new to Corrado's, not even got mine yet, so can't offer any specific advice, but giving it a good clean and then treating some of the black plastic/rubber bits to some tyre shine would certainly make it look better.

Yeah they're Compomotive MO5s... you can just about see on one spoke of each wheel that there's the wheel size stamped on it, as they do with the MOs

Oh noes... spoiler alert :? I think the bunnies sum up Titanic better than you though: http://www.angryalien.com/0604/titanicbunnies.html

Ever thrown a rod? how about the hole engine!

 Those turbos are bigger than my house!! I've seen a Scooby throw a piston out the side of the engine doing a 1/4 before... there was a loud bang and then the wing had a huge outwards dent in it -
 I was quite surprised when you said you didn't notice a bombshell... it was a really big twist in the storyline lol It's not quite perfect... imo anyway. Still an awesome film though

give us a clue then

Have done :)

I thought this was a great film too, especially the bombshell at the end I'm only a young un, I'm sure I'll see a better film at some point in my life, but I couldn't ask for more from a film than Inception gave, hence the 10/10
-
Excellent read. Are there any big plans for it, or are you happy with everything for now?

Inception - 10/10 Amazingly clever film, one of the best I've ever seen

All I can say is WOW!

This is a great thread... I'm gonna keep up with this one. With regard to brakes... The 280mm OEM+ brakes on my old VX Corsa came from a Meriva... 20mm bigger discs, but the piston was much bigger than standard ones. They're the same brake setup my mates throttle bodied corsa runs, they're fine for his track use and fast road use... people with highly tuned cars have often mistaken them for 4-pots (obviously the braking force not the look of the caliper). I don't know what the different VW upgrades are like compared to standard... but 4 or more pots are not necessarily absolutely essential... could you do something like run R32 or even R36 calipers (with custom carrier brackets made up) to fit them to a Corrado hub? It would be good if you could keep track of and give updates on things like the car weight, lap times achieved, the kind of cars you were similar to on track etc

Those wheels are lovely. I've always been a fan of Comp MO5s, not just on Rados either. I don't know when this group buy will go through and how much they'll be, but if I already had a VR and the money then I'd be in.

Free tickets? :norty:

Having spent time on a flight line... including stood 20 metres away from 4 pairs of Tornado F3 jets taking off, I'd suggest silicon/foam in-ear plugs, with ear defenders over the top. Even with the two, it was far too loud, although not QUITE at the pain threshold... but with only one of them it would have been painful and probably caused permanent hearing damage. As has been said, hearing damage doesn't heal, it's not worth taking the risk so I'd invest in both. You can get decent quality ear defenders quite cheap 2nd hand or new from Army surplus stores (the ear defenders they use on the rifle ranges etc)

I love it... nobody really expects a Volvo to be quick, especially the older station wagons that are as rectangular as they come...

I have to be honest, I love the new Scirocco, but the original still has that special something. There's loads of (new) Sciroccos around now, I think the name has lost its exclusivity, and I think that'd be a risk if they did make a new Corrado too
