You want to buy it? No, sorry dont want to buy it. I meant a supercharger on my vr shall be mine 8) Is it for sale like? Timo.
-
Jesus Christ mate!!! (apologies to the religious!!) What a beast. There aint much room in your engine bay!! How much bhp/torque?? Quite fancy a charger for my vr, but is soooo much money and I am skint after buying the g60  Some day it shall be mine  Timo.

What a brilliant story mate. What's in your corrado??? engine wise? A rocket motor? 8) Timo.

MMMmmmmmmm.................nice!!!!!!!!!   Timo. -
better fuel economy, still bl$$dy quick!!! rare, character, sounds amazing. Mind you so does the scooby! Damn! The spoiler is one of the coolest thing about the corrado. Oh, in about 10 years the corrado will be still worth money, whereas the scooby will be dead or cheap as chips. There is sooooo many scoobys about now its just not funny. It getting as bad as boy racer corsas. I like to be different hence the VR6 and G60 8) Timo..... (warble over  )

Looking from the front of the car, the breather pipe should be on the left hand side beside the wheel arch. It should be bunched with the actual fuel lines. Tends to be a clear-ish plastic pipe. It may have been removed further back but should not be blocked up!! If you find any pipe on that side that isn't connected to anything that is a clear pipe that'll be it. Should just be venting to air if the carbon cannister had be previously removed. Timo.

My speedo stopped working the other day too, but all the other guages were still ok. I took my clocks apart and pulled out the speedo unit and pushed the pointer round by hand, checked the connections and chucked it back in. Job done, it work after that. I wonder if it had just got stucked or a complete fluke. Timo.
-
Has your carbon cannister been taken out of the engine bay?? If so has the fuel tank breather line been blocked up?? Timo.
-
Well, I have to confess I never fill it up, right up!! Its just too painful on the wallet. I suppose its within reach. Its been a while since I've had it in a long steady journey. Timo.
-
How fast do you drive?????  30mph!!! How big is your tank? My vr would do maybe high 300's on long journeys from a tank but never that much!!! Blimey!!! Timo.
-
The temp sender has just been replaced, plus I've tested it with a multimeter and it is within specifications once warmed up so the guage must be stuffed!!! Nevermind!! Si B, No worries mate. Simon

My next door neighbour has a Corrado 16v that's sat in their back porch doing nothing as she has bought another car. Its a bit tatty but quite a nice car. Must resist........ But, if the price is right!! You never know!! 8) Timo.
-
Do it man!!! You never regret it. I (and my Dad) haven't for one second. The G60 is such a beast!!! especially tuned up  Timo.
-
"fitted incorrecty" - that's a bit cheeky Si B, !!! I'll let you off. Doesn't take too long to warm up. The old one wasn't stuck open so it cant have been the problem. Also I tested it in some boiling water and it opened fine and also closed fine when I took it out. So there cant have been anything wrong with it. Oil temp mid 80's to high 80's on usual driving. It has an oil cooler so the oil temp rarely goes over 90 C unless I'm on the motorway and breaking the speed limit  The guage must be talking sh&te!!! Cheers Timo.

Replaced the thermostat on my G60 today in a bid to cue the low water temperature I am experiencing. Barely reaches 70 C at the minute. Anyway, replaced it this morning and went for a nice long run and the temperature is still not getting any higher!! My thinking is that the temperature guage is just talking cr@p. I only fixed it the other week as it wasn't working at all. The tiny wee bit of wire inside the guage had popped of the needle so it wasn't moving it. What do you reckon? Guage goosed? or is there something else it could be. I have just replaced all the temperature sensors as well so they cant be the issue either. Bit annoyed really as it wasn't the easiest of things to replace. Timo.

Don't you hate it when someone steals your thunder!

Bummer dude. TVR's are the daddy!! Till they break done, which happens more than with the corrado  Timo. -
Checked fusebox, but didn't know there was two fuses though. Chears for that!!! Might have a look at some point Timo.
-
surely it wouldn't work when the run-on kicked in?!! You can see the fuse on the top of the fan relay. It looks fine to me, but I could try and bridge it I suppose. Doesn't matter anyway. The vr is off the road anyway, sat in a nice dry garage having a well deserved rest. Filled on the SORN declaration today  . Still have the g60 to keep me occupied. Love it to bits. What a beast, better than I ever imagined  Timo.

timo, just wondering if this is the reasoning for you aux pump not running.......vw didnt change the wiring order between the different pumps did they?? stranger things have happened. Doesn't get any power to the connector anymore. When the pump went I tested the voltage to be sure the pump had gone. There was power. I didn't change the pump for about a month (lazy boy!!) and when I finally got around to changing it there was no longer any power getting to the connector and the pump no longer works. Weird eh!!! But get this, it does work if the fans are working from the run-on cooling system. I.e. you have stop the car, turned it off and the run-on system still thinks the engine is too warm. It works then but a no other time. I reckon the problem is the run-on relay box that sits in front of the expansion tank. Timo.

bugger, you bet me to it kevhaywire, Damn Timo.

Bentley do a good manual for the vr6. Its about 90 bucks though  . Well worth the money. I have saved myself about 10 times that by using the manual and doing all the work myself  VAG-com is the computer system VW use to connect to your car to find out what's wrong with it! Usually costs about £20 and can be handy Timo.
-
kvwloon, well said!!! Timo.

"Don't be tempted by the supercharged four cylinder G60-it's a totally different and vastly inferior beast." Disgrace, its not inferior, well not vastly. It just different. You can compare them really. They are a different breed!! Timo.
