its not too difficult. You need to undo front and rear engine mounts and jack up the engine till you can get access to all 3 bolts that are on the water pump pulley. Obviously the air box needs to be out. If you find it wont jack up enough for you to get access to all 3 bolts you can try un-doing the gear mount aswell. Anyway, you need a long bolt of the correct thread to go into the hole that can be seen on the belt tensioner. I found one through trail and error. Think an 8mm is the right size, not sure! Screw that into the hole until the belt becomes slack. You then need to undo the 3 bolts on the pulley and then remove this. There are then 3 bolts that hold in the water pump, undo these and the pump will then pull out. That you new pump and slide in and bob's your uncle. Reverse all that you did before and thats you done. Timo.

1 bar is approx 14 psi, so you probably have about the same as olly ~11 Timo.

How much is a coil pack from VW?? Been on gsf, they are £115 +vat. I get quite good discount at my local VW garage so I think i'll see how much it is from them. Will be the genuine article too :mrgreen: Timo.

Well after stopping to walk my dogs whilst on the journey to see a corrado g60, after restarting the car, it was instantly misfiring. I thought it was only one and that it was just a bit of damp as it had just been raining rather heavily. However, it did not clear up and after a little investigation work I found it to be misfiring on 2 cylinders. Its the two middle ones, which I think are 3 and 4. I'm guessing its the coilpack?!! Can someone confirm this :mad: :cry: :cry: :cry: :mad: Timo.

Plans are on hold. My VR6 has become a VR4. Not firing on two cylinders. My 99% certain guess is the coilpack :cry: :cry: :cry: Timo.

try a new expansion cap, only a few £. Can sometimes be something as simple as that. I had that problem on mine. Think the new cap was about £6 and it sorted the slow disappearance of coolant. Timo.

Did this, looks well nice. But, I get a wee sniff of oil every time I come to a stand still with the engine running! Timo.

Yeah, i was gonna wait a few weeks after installing the suspension before getting it re-aligned. If I do the suspsension that is!!! 8) Going to look at the g60 tomorrow morning, getting rather excited. Its only done 70k. Same colour as mine but not so bothered about that anymore. According to the thread i mentioned before and from the larkspeed website itself all four are dampening adjustable and just the rears are height adjustable (from thr thread). Hope so! Going to see a g60 on saturday so just putting the suspension on hold for a few days 8) . Might need the money for it!!! :mrgreen: Simon

Can't hold myself back for much longer. My front shocks are definitely on there way out so I think its time to lower the bad boy. Obviously I am thinking of H&R and koni TAs but I found a Koni set on http://www.motorsportworld.co.uk. Its Koni Sport Suspension kit with all round adjustables for £421.28. What do you reckon to these kits, any good. Seems a good price to me. Not sure what to buy. The above kit or go for the HR/Koni setup. I'm happy to go with something thats good and cheaper than something that's excellent and more expensive. Got some holidays coming up soon so I think this would be a nice project. Been looking at stuff on GSF, Top Mounting kit and rear bump stops. Gonna change (try to) the rear axle bushes too. Are these available on GSF?? Oh well. It went for £1500. That was my ceiling price and I thought it would have gone for less. There was only 2 people bidding in the last 15 minutes. Me and this other dude that got it. I would have be gutted today if I had got it for 1500 cos I didn't want to spend that much. So all in all pleased generally, but I was really looking forward to getting my hands dirty on a g60 instead of my vr for a change. Nevermind, wasn't meant to be! Oh, it had 122k on the clock which wasn't too bad! Thanks for all your input Timo.
