Couldn't get any voltage reading from the black and white wire with the ignition on. I take it, it's the thin black/white wire coming out of the bottom of the box with the smaller connection plug. There aint another black/white wire so I dont think i could have tested the wrong one. What does that mean then? Something wrong with the relay? Ta Timo.

Bump, Right the story so far. Aux Coolant pump doesn't run when the ignition is on or when the engine is running. Which it should. It does however work when the car gets to hot and the fans kick in. Or, when you test the fan run-on circuit by bridging two connections on the the yellow thermostat temp plug. What the smeg is wrong with it? Not really hugely concerned with the fact that it dont work. Seems to me it is almost wasteful/pointless having to water pumps going at the same time. It just frustrating. There's obviously a fault/problem somewhere. Maybe there's a dirty connection somewhere, perhaps at the ECU because I've checked everthing else. Any help? Timo.

Its a 'J' reg, so thats a 1991? i think. Totally standard. Was kept in a garage before this guy got it. Pretty mint by the sounds and looks of it. Its nugget yellow, hence my heavy interest!!! 8) Timo

he says the car still starts so it cant be too bad. Still it would be interesting if he knows what has gone in the charger ta timo

Found a G60 with a blown supercharger. Dont know the milage of the car but for arguments sake we'll say around average 120-130,000. Car is in very good condition, no other mechanical faults. Full service history (I think!) How much do you reckon its worth? A replacement charger (if needed) is about £800 odd? so that obviously is the amount that needs knocked off the price (at least) due to its problems. £? really after a wee project timo

See when changing from the older kind of brake fluid to DOT 5.1, do you have to get rid of all of the old stuff. I.e. completely bleed the entire system. Does the DOT 5.1 stuff react in anyway to the older DOT stuff. And, how would you go about making sure you got rid of all the old brake fluid before putting in the DOT 5.1 ta Timo

So lets say a charger rebuild cost approx £400. Alot of g60 are tuned so it will need done every 30,000 miles (probably! for safety's sake). That's 3 times every 100k.......... dont think you have to be a mathematician to see where I'm going with this!! . Back to square one  If someone was to give me a Corrado for free, knowing what I do now, I would take the g60. Sorry all vr owners (I have let you down  ), but I have this thing about forced induction. Especially supercharging. I just love that noise. The old WW2 fighters that had them make one of the best engine noises in the world IMHO. :D However, I haven't ever driven or been in a G60 yet!!! (Trying to get a shot) so I wouldn't say my answer is 100% rock soild but there is just something special about it! Mind you whenever someone asks me what size of engine is in my vr (they usually say a 2ltr  ) the look on their face when I say 2.9 is just the best    . The replay to that usually contains several of the following words F***, Me, Holy, Sh&t, Blimey, Charlie!!!!!. Ta Simon

Maybe I should buy a g60 now before they get even more expensive (I wish £££££££££) Maybe next year  How much does a G-Lader service cost? service interval's about 60k, ain't it? The G60 is.... a bit more exclusive. Thats what made me interested in one when I was first looking for a Corrado. The thought of supercharged power. I did a bit of research and found out about the reliabitlity of the lader and thought... No thanks. Maybe I should have dug deeper and maybe found out about the VR's 100k nightmare!!! My old boy persuaded me away from the g60 and onto the VR cos of the 'Classic' status. Nevermind eh!!! Roll on the best of both worlds!!! Simon P.S. Kev you're a naughty boy!!! You had me doubting my car!!! Never again

hate to admit it, but you do have a point there. Just took a few minutes to sink in!!  Love it all the same though and will never sell it!!! timo

shite - WHAT!!!!!! unreliable - Mmmm, I cant get out of that one considering the things that have gone bye, bye since buying mine. slow - Eh? Are you taking the pi$$?? timo

Has anyone noticed recently that the prices for vr's are going down but the prices of g60 are going up!! I tend to keep an eye on autotrader quite a bit just to see how the Corrado prices in general are getting on and lately I have been beginning to wonder what is going on. No offence to g60 owners (I want one aswell as my vr) but the vr6 is regarded by many as the one to buy (Timo ducks!! ). That's according to Top Gear obviously not my personal opinion (phew, got out of that one easily  ). Seriously though, has anyone else noticed this or is it just me? I suppose they do tend to be more modified than the vr but still, people tend to pay a premium for cars that are more original. Ahhh, I dont know :? Just my Friday afternoon nonsense timo

Over a 1000 miles since head rebuild now, It has used a wee bit since I serviced it about 600 miles ago. Wouldn't even say its used 1/4 of a litre. So its well within the limits. I dont care anymore. Gonna have some more serious mods done to it at the start of next year when I finally get some decent money coming in (start in the Police!!!). Just gonna enjoy it, (like I dont anyway!!!). Simon P.S. Good luck with the head rebuild mate, hope you've been saving the pennies!!!
