Very true and probably a valid point. Its great when the VR6 rado comes 'on cam' Goes like a rocket. I need to get someone to drive the bora and race the rado and bora to answer that all important question. T.

When you buying a corrado then? T.

Sounds very interesting. Bloody nice car by the way! T.

disconnect you battery for 15 minutes That'll clear the codes T.

Done much with the engine? T.

I was beginning to think I was alone in thinking that! Nope, I'm with you on this. I've heard someone else claiming the same. I believe its due to the variable inlet manifold. It does have silly amounts of low end torque though!! T.

 whoops, didn't know what reg it was....................have now looked in his sig pictures! T.

24V Renshaw, Was you corrado a vr6 originally? How do you find the 24v top end? I find it seems to run out of steam were as the 12v vr goes like stink when it gets to the high revs. Although it'll be interesting to get the car back to see if it feels any better than before it broke. T.

The resistor will have gone. You can by pass it, with a bit of wire. Sounds a bit cowboy ish I know but it works. ANd, its much cheaper than buying a new fan. Its quite easy to get the fan out too. Take the shelf out under the glove box, lie on the car's floor and look up. Press a few clips, twist it and it'll drop out. Happy days T.

Good news people. Car has been fixed. New Mass ait flow sensor and a new air inlet temperature sensor and all the errors have gone. Picking it up tomorrow. Cant wait to get it back. Although I have really enjoyed using the VR so much. I sometimes forget what a fantastic car it is and some times I think the un thinkable and wonder whether to sell it. Fortunately, I could never do that. Happy days. Simon

Where did you hear that then matey? ..Just out of interest :) Cant remember but it was a reliable source and I can believe it. Do you want to buy my Dad's? T.

Cant say I usually get someone with a cardiff accent on the end of the line. T.

Well if its the left hand side it isn't the chains. Could be the bearing in the tensioner for the V-belt. Can you tell whether the noise is coming from the top of the engine or the bottom? T.

VR6, Whoops, apologies.................... Thats the first time I've ever done that! I shall hold my head in shame. T.

Just got my renewal quote in for the Corrado. Really impressed, good old elephant are trying hard this year. £276.......... happy days Considering it cost nearly £1200 when I first got the car 3 years ago, I think thats a marked improvement! T.

Try hammering one of those star shape alley key things. I used them loads of times when the allen key bolt has stripped. Takes a bit of hammering but it does the trick T.

Probably the chains. Is it more noticable when cold and goes away a little once warmed up? T.

due care and attention T.

Some people just take the p$ss when they are driving around. They deserve everything they get. Unfortunately its the innocent by stander that receives the worst of it. T.

http://www.racingflix.com has it on there. I think you need to register to download but there are no catches T.

Thats why you should have 4wd :)

http://www.uk-mkivs.net/forums/395819/ShowPost.aspx check it out. Believe it belongs to Guy Hartley. Does he not own that crazy Corrado storm with about 312bhp? T.

Perhaps, probably just cold. Mine occasionally does random things similar to yours, but soon sorts itself out. Wouldn't worry about it too much. Its just the vr6 doing its thing.
-
Sounds like a clean of the ISV wouldn't go a miss using some carb cleaner. If its been sat for two weeks in this weather you'd been grumpy and lumpy too. Mine does the same if its been sat for a while. Sometimes, it almost has a misfire but soon clears it throat. If its dying coming up to junctions then defo clean the ISV. T.
