has to be time of year/ 2nd car thing, generally months go by without me seeing any over here though even in the summer, which i think is a definite +ve aspect of ownership
-
interested, how much do you want for them?
-
welcome along and nice purchase, were the leathers original in it?
-
2step/ 1step is always the way with these cars Jake, good progress still being made, this cars really coming together.
-
definitely one to hang onto, but if you do sell then please not to a breaker :/
-

very nice! welcome along, whereabouts in Canada?
-
looking good indeed, would like to give this a go one day.
-
yep, had to replace mine recently too.
-
frankly.... i ignored that when doing mine! for the home mechanic doing this on the ground/ small ramps there's only so much you can do, i mounted the brackets first, then the beam, given the fact you have to wedge (pretension) the beam between the two mounts i'm not sure how you could do it with the beam mounted to the mounts. i've no rattles or knocks btw.

another vote for all red as above, definitely a good look against black, i've pinstriped mine also and it works well and saves messing with green bulbs or LED's.

I got a set of overalls with nickname 'moley's motors' stitched in lol

welding is the best thing ever, seriously i use my welder at any and every opportunity, so satisfying sticking metal together :)

all sound good sean, we need pics!

mission impossible; - fabricate seat frame and fit passenger recaro seat - upgrade lighting loom - complete wheel refurb and fit - further upgrade to 312 brakes - sort tracking - finish the paintwork - windscreen out for rust investigation/ fix - source 2nd hand interior and dye to match black cloth fronts - diy remap - chains and engine rebuild next winter if i get half of that done then i'll be pleased :)
-
a solid 6mm spacer sounds like the proper job, but most use washers mate, sure would be ok for a temp solution.
-
Maybe like you I've heard of a few horror stories second hand on here, but that's it no 'it happened to me' incidents. I'm worried about other aspects of the engine ahead of chains, and i think its only such a big deal service history wise because of the hassle of changing them. Obviously pretty catastrophic if they do go though :/
-
another definite yes for OEM. convinced yet :)
-
i think he may have sorted it after 7 and a half years guys LOL!

i'd love to do a vr5 conversion - with a turbo that is :) there's talk of a guy doing it over here, really hope it happens, no idea hard it would be though but keen to know.
