Just out of curiousity, why a MK4?

I think around the early nineties, the dark mica blue was probably one of the best selling colours, eg vw's aqua blue, bmw mauritiaus blue, rovers tahiti blue etc and probably judging on how well aqua blues sold they bought a colour close enough to it but with a purple flip difference to make it exclusive enough to use on the storm. Seems like a calcualted method to ensure they would sell the storms.

Reading through this post i think that the Corrado Storm was alot more of a marketing ploy, as it seemed like VW tried to milk the end of the production of the Corrado. Although the Storm colours were different to the other blues and greens they were still not exclusive enough as the Dusty Mauve used on the Campaign. The marketing of the Corrado storm reminds me of the late MK1 Golf cabriolet Rivage which again came in a choice of blue or green and had a similar appeal as a Storm. I do like the Scirrocco storm MK2 with the tan leathers and brown paint, it gives a retro feel, something the campaign had. I just dont think the storm had exclusivness that it deserved.

Theres always going to be other cars that are faster so if speed is your main concern then you maybe dissapointed. But if you want a modern classic has style, solid build quality, trick rear spoiler, menacing looks and is distinctive from most other cars than only buy a corrado!

Sounds like its related to the distributor, just because the cap and rotor arm have been changed dont rule them out. What ignition leads were used, and are all of these seated properly?

I am looking for some to carry out work to the rear arches, as my tyres on the borbet 16x9 are getting badly scuffed. Andi from golfmeister has been recommended but does anyone else know of any other company/person who can carry out this work. What im looking to do is get the arch pulled out a little bit and the metal work shaved. Im based in london but can travel to the place if its a resonable distance. Any replies will be apprieciated

The crank pully bolt doesnt have to be taken off to do the cambelt, only you want to replace the bolt then. Also block the ports of the s/c off with masking tape or similar to stop debris getting inside.

J490 GCD on holloway road london yesturday about 5pm, could be a g60 but not sure it was black and standard.

Has anyone got a picture of a de-cat pipe for a g60 need to see what fittings it comes with, i believe one side would have the clamp to the down pipe, and the other side would slide under the piece which goes to the centre box?
