  1. If you contact rnm on the forum, cos i used a belt from a peugeot diesel on the g60 cant remember which exact model it was but it was quite a good fit and kept alternator etc running, so the belt may still have part number on it.
  2. im in london/essex which is near kent (dartford tunnel area)
  3. Typical British weather mate! oh sh*t bilal forgot to get that thing off you
  4. I been quoted around the £500 mark from auto perfections in Harrow, London, at the same time i saw one they had for a mk3 golf and they are really light compared to the originals, also mates got one on his honda i have to rush off now but i'll try to post some picutres tonight
  5. This sort of car should have tracker fitted....all the money they spend on mods they could at least fit a tracker with all these hijackings going on....its appalling.
  6. AFAIK...2.0 are 24v V6's they are called MIVEC, and the 1.8s are 16V's Mazda have the 1.8 V6 time to take off my anorak, me thinks!
  7. Yes its basically a pump which pressurises the cooling system without having to run the car, it shows up any leaks, i think the cheapest kit (blue point) is around £100 but there maybe a cheaper alternative for a vw only. whereabouts are you located?
  8. I can relate to that! i had some jumped up asian guy, in his fast and furious wannabe FTO with the neons and the works trying to race me when i had my rover coupe (turbo) and he thought his car fast i gave him an ass whopping and left his car standing as i reached around 125mph (private road of course) :D
  9. Sorry about your loss DM, the motion sensor should have definately picked up the window being broken.

    leather retrim

yup, im with kev on this one, all black has a sort of classic aura about it, whereas in a years time the red centres would've lost its appeal, how about getting the piping done in a different colour? If i was getting a retrim done from scratch i would choose a different pattern of how the leather is joined dont know what this is called but have a look at Merc CLK seats and you'll know what i mean
  11. Hey Del you could've easily caught up with her probably would've found her up the road abit crawling along at 2mph or she may be back some time next week, the guy who reversed into my wing is always in the same car park (where he hit me) on monday mornings, probably getting his pension. Ant...what car were you in when the guy opened his door into yours?
  12. It may be more economical but will probably cost more to insure as its been modified, i would've thought the 2.0 8v would be slow enough!
  13. What method do people use to test battery drain? My battery keeps going flat enough to just not crank it over, i've had the battery tested under load and its fine. So somewhere in the car, something is draining my battery previously i used a light probe which acts like a bulb when connected in a circuit to show current. If the probe (both sides) is connected to the positive side of the battery only, a glow on the bulb indicated a current draw.....how does this work? What amount of amperage is acceptable for alarm etc and how much would drain the battery quickly? Thanks in Advance Majik
  14. Most of these corrado's on this thread are awesome. Sukhs is one of the best i've seen in the metal, but i also like his previous G60 maybe its the colour

Nice!!! Whats the spec on it? So Bally whats the deal with your wheels?

    no front demister

Hi mate, welcome to the forum Ok it could be either the eariler slider control or the late rotory control. If the slider/knob feels like its resisting the cable could be jammed. If the slider works ok then one of the ducts which carries air from the heater motor to the dash vents could have come apart, it would be easier to show this on a diagram if anyone has one. Shut off the front facing vents, this would cuase pressure and make the air try to escape through the windscreen vents. (as long as its in the windscreen position) if a little air comes out then you will know its the cable not operating properly. Im not too sure how much a cable cost but it can be replaced quite easily for this you will need to undo the four screws iether side of the heater control unit.
  19. I personally think that the BMW Coupe, Calibra and Rover Coupe stole some (alot) of the Corrado's limelight although the corrado was released abit earlier, around 92/93 all four models were on the market. The BMW 318is was similar in performance to the MK3 Golf gti (8v) car they should have always been 325 and above but cos of the prestige of the brand they sold like hot cakes. The g60 should have been RHD right from the start, but generally im gald that Corrado's didnt sell that well cos it makes them so much more exclusive :D
  20. Hey Furks......what are you on about? It rains every other day in this country, so unless you've moved to africa, get ur anorak on and a sponge and have a free wash and rinse on nature :)
  21. Nice car....they never fail to impress in (near) standard guise
  22. My mum doesnt even remember what car my dad has let alone my corrado!
  23. I was talking about the sound deadening foam, IIRC it was made by rockford fosgate and about 20 per can but that was some years ago
  24. Apart from the sound deadening materials i would fill the cavities of the C pillar with expandable foam, its light and stops gthe metal vibrating but it can be messy to install. I plan to do this to my car as the roof lining shakes when the bass is pumping.
